Riley's Filly Cinch got herself into a mess someplace yesterday tore up her right hind pretty bad. She managed to tare muscle but not all the way through and we believe missed the tendons. I'm thankful I found her relatively fast after it happened, and that it was a Sunday, so Calvin was within hollering range to help. I'm beyond grateful to our amazing vet that "DOSE NOT WORK ON SUNDAYS" who saw the pictures and came right over (I also bribed her with breakfast 😉). We have a care plan for now and will adjust as needed.

I'm also greatfull because Riley and Avery were already planning to be here from WA all next week and will be taking this chore off my hands for the week 😊

Liz n Vernon (Grandpa n Grandma Roorda) called all excited cause they were watching you tube waiting out a rain storm and there's Riley pressing wool! True pride in what we do is a thing lots by many but for a few it's a way of life!

As a parent it's a beautiful thing to watch your children use all the strengths Heavenly Fathers given them and the gentleman qualities you taught them ♡
Riley had a long weekend leaving work, practice, a car accident (all are totally safe except the car) and shooting 3 classes in one day at state 4H archery~ He shot to the best of his currant ability, coached the youngsters and encouraged his friends. I'm not biased HE IS THE ONE OF THE GREATEST YOUNGMEN OUT THERE!!!
O and did I mention he helped a young lady in a wheel chair down the long set of steps

Placings are not final so I won't post them yet, but I will say even with being gone shearing and not shooting often his still good talent!
