Dogs can hear frequencies up to 65,000 Hz (humans tap out around 20,000 Hz) and have 18 muscles controlling their ears to pinpoint exactly where a sound is coming from.

So yes... your dog absolutely heard you say "bath," "crate," and "leave it" from three rooms away.

They just chose not to respond.

But somehow, the faint crinkle of a treat bag from the other side of the house? That's an emergency requiring immediate attention. 🐶👂🍖

Selective hearing isn't a bug—it's a feature.

🐾 Hi friends! It's us — Cash, Willow, Libby, Petunia, and Opal! 🐾

We had the BEST time at the Farmers Market this weekend! We got to meet so many wonderful people, collect lots of pets, show off our puppy charm, and soak up all the attention (which, if we're being honest, is one of our favorite hobbies).

One thing that made us extra happy was seeing families in need receive free pet food through ARF's Pet Food Bank. No pet should have to go hungry! And guess what? We still have plenty of pet food available for families who could use a helping paw. ❤️🐶

We're already counting down the days until we're out and about again meeting new friends. We can't wait for more treats, more walkies, more belly rubs, and more chances to find our forever families!

Until then, we'll keep practicing our puppy eyes. Trust us—we're getting very good at them. 👀🐾

We're out here at the Farmers Market!! We have had a wonderful sponsor, Juan, with Operation Humane (based out of Atlanta) to donate us some food to give out. We're only going to be out here for around 30 more minutes before we start packing up! Come out and meet these puppies and apply to adopt or volunteer!

BIG news from Libby, Willow, and their siblings… 🐾

They officially had their 6-month vet checkups and got the all-clear! Healthy, happy, and more than ready to find their forever homes. ❤️

These pups have grown into some seriously amazing dogs, and now all they’re missing is a family to spoil them rotten.

Want to meet them in person? Come see us this weekend at the Farmers Market from 10–2! You can meet the puppies, fall in love, and even submit an adoption application while you’re there.

Warning: puppy eyes will be used aggressively. We are not responsible for any sudden “we’re just looking” turning into “guess we have a dog now.” 😂🐶

✨ SHE GOT ADOPTED! ✨

Miss Shellie has officially traded rescue life for the spoiled-girl lifestyle… and now goes by the very fitting name of Pepper. 💖

Pepper wasted no time charming her new family — especially her handsome Hawaiian brother, Shadow. 🌺🐾

Shadow showed up looking adorable in his little rain slicker and patiently let Pepper inspect him first. A gentleman, honestly.

Coming all the way from Hawaii, Shadow now gets the important job of showing Pepper all his favorite spots and teaching her the ropes of the good life.

Once Pepper decided Shadow wasn’t trying to steal her spotlight, she gave Ms. Emily a happy wag of approval. And judging by Ms. Emily’s smile on that rainy day… we’re pretty sure the sun came out anyway. ☀️

But Pepper wasn’t finished interviewing her new family just yet. She made sure to check out her new dad too — and the moment he crouched down to her level, she knew he was a keeper. ❤️

Then came the final touch: a strawberry rain slicker. 🍓

The second Ms. Emily put it on her, the deal was sealed.

And just like that…
a diva named Pepper was officially furever adopted. 💕

Of course, the spoiling started immediately — shopping trips, pink everything, and enough love to last a lifetime. We imagine Shadow and Dad are already mastering the art of the invisible eye roll while their girls shop. 😂

From an original litter of 9 GSP mix puppies, with 7 of them coming through ARF, we are so proud of our sweet Pepper.

As they say…
“Dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.” ✨🐾
