I’m back from my trip! I took one day to “recover” and then went and picked up a new foster.
Meet Tipper- and hopefully step mama Sleeves!
Tipper was brought in on Friday, and within an hour I was coming to get her to allow our saintly Jessica and Briawna a break from bottle babies.
Mama had just had her babies taken and started in the adoptive process, so she was still full of milk and willing.
It’s been a lot of watching (stalking) to ensure that mama will take care of Tipper and I won’t have to bottle feed, so far I have been able to find the right combo of heat, mamas preferred sleeping area and patience to allow mama break time.
Here’s hoping- because if it doesn’t work- I go back to school and I can’t do the bottle baby Tipper. I think she is about two weeks old, only 10 ounces, so I am weighing in grams to document the tiniest of gains.
