While my heart will always belong to the kind of Mustang with four legs, this blue beauty brought its own kind of magic. 💙My gratitude to Santiam Forks Farm for opening their breathtaking property and lending us their gorgeous Ford Mustang, creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable portrait session.

I had the most amazing portrait session yesterday with Lydia Dedera’s Horse Training at the most picturesque farm. Lydia is gentling Desperado (Desi) for the Teens And Oregon Mustangs Challenge. Desi is an absolute gentleman. He was so sweet and stood perfectly for his portraits. He really enjoys scratches on his withers. He will be available for adoption at the challenge on August 31st.

🌹 Temperament: Sweet and tender, low pecking order. In your pocket, but respectful. GREAT with kids! Does just fine with time off. Reliable. Great with obstacles.

🌷Breed: Paso Fino
🌷Height: 14 hands high 👏🏻
🌷Age: ~ 17 (estimated)
🌷Hooves: Barefoot - need shoes/boots for trails
🌷Maintenance: None! Very easy keeper

🌷Discipline: Trails, Lessons, Ba****ck, endurance prospect

🌷Temperament: Sweet, Introverted, Sensitive to cues, happy to move out! Does fine with time off. Can be stoic on the trail. Not spooky!

Meet Rosa and Ellie!

These two girls have been very fun to have around. They have the tendency to cause anyone who rides them to beam with joy! They have both been used for lessons, trails, and many ba****ck rides. They are sweet and reliable.

They are gaited of course, and they are the smoothest horses I have ever ridden! Hop on ba****ck from the ground with a leadrope and they’re good to go!

They both lead very well, load, stand to be trimmed, bathe, etc.

Rosa needs fed well, and Ellie needs exercised often because of their different body types.

These horses would make great lesson horses, kids camp horses, or family horses. They would also be great personal horses for a trail rider looking for a fun, speedy little partner. They would also be perfect for a rider who may have back or neck issues and needs a ride that is not bouncy. Both horses are healthy and well taken care of.

PM for videos and price—Good homes have priority! Would love to have them go to their new home prior to August!

Desi’s first show is all done! He placed in four out of six classes with a cute red ribbon for one of them! He sure cleans up nice.

This morning he had a bath and met the blowdryer! He held nice and still.

I’m so proud of Desi! He rocked our 12th ride, and felt like a totally matured horse. The video will look kind of funky because it was totally dark and I edited the colors so that we could be visible!

God has been so gracious. Getting ready to hit the trails with this precious sparkly mustang!
