The MVMA Academy Distinguished Service Award was presented to Robert Hertzog, DVM, Independence, MO, and was presented posthumously to Dr. Hertzog’s son, Dr. David Hertzog who accepted it on his behalf.

Dr. Hertzog was a lifetime retired member of the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA). He graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1969. He was a founding member of the MVMA Academy which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary.

MVMA Academy Distinguished Service Award recipients are individuals who have rendered meritorious service to promoting and advancing continuing education in the veterinary profession.

Thank you Dr. Hertzog and family for your service and dedication to the veterinary medicine profession and development.

The Academy, through its programs and through membership promotion and growth, sets the high standard for continuing education consistent with the ideals of the profession.
