Paws 2 Paws Update

Paws 2 Paws is currently in an operations review phase. I am taking a short step back to finalize the structure, policies, and the safest path forward so this program can launch the right way and stay sustainable long term.

What this means right now
We are not accepting assistance applications at this time.
We are not scheduling any vaccination support at this time.
I am reviewing whether Paws 2 Paws will operate only as an LLC, or whether a nonprofit arm will be added later to handle the charitable assistance side.

What has not changed
The mission is still the same. I want to help pets and the people who love them by improving access to essential supplies and preventive vaccinations, with a clear priority for low-income households. I also plan to build a low-cost option for households who do not qualify for free assistance once operations are stable.

Why I am doing this review
I want to make sure donations, partnerships, and future expansion are handled with complete transparency and proper systems. This includes how inventory is received, how items are distributed, how services are funded, and how records are maintained.

How you can help right now
If you are a local business, organization, or veterinary clinic open to partnership, please message this page.
If you are someone who has experience with nonprofits, grant writing, or community programs, and you are interested in supporting the long-term development of this mission, please reach out.
Sharing this page and staying connected helps more than you realize.

Thank you to everyone who has followed, shared, or encouraged this mission so early. Your support matters, and I will post a clear update as soon as the operational path is finalized.

📌 Welcome to Paws 2 Paws

Paws 2 Paws is a community supported pet relief project based in Cole County, Missouri. Our purpose is simple: help prevent pets from being displaced due to preventable needs, and support responsible pet care through preparation, prevention, and community partnership.

Our mission
Paws 2 Paws exists to reduce preventable pet crises by supporting preparation, prevention, and responsible access to care. We work to help pets stay safe, healthy, and with their families whenever possible, from one paw to another.

What we do
When resources are available, Paws 2 Paws may provide support through:
• Pet food and essential supplies
• Preventive vaccination support through partner veterinary clinics
• Education and planning tools to help pet owners stay prepared
• Resource navigation and referrals to other programs

What we do not do
To keep our work fair and sustainable, we do not provide:
• Cash assistance, gift cards, or reimbursements
• Emergency veterinary care or ongoing medical treatment
• Services outside of our program boundaries

How vaccination support works
Vaccination support is limited to core vaccines and vaccines required by law or housing. Appointments are scheduled with a partner clinic, and Paws 2 Paws pays the clinic directly. Money is never given to individuals. Vaccination support is limited to once per pet per year when funding is available.

Who we serve
Our primary focus is helping low income households in Cole County, Missouri. Eligibility is based on household income at or below 130 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, with limited emergency exceptions considered for time sensitive vaccination needs when documentation supports it.

How you can help
There are several ways to support Paws 2 Paws:

Donate supplies
We accept new unopened pet items and clean, safe lightly used durable items such as crates and enclosures.

Donate funds
Monetary donations help us purchase essential supplies and fund vaccination support through partner clinics. Paws 2 Paws is a for profit LLC, so donations are not tax deductible.

Share and connect
Sharing our posts, referring community members to our page, and connecting us with local vets, businesses, or community partners helps us grow responsibly.

Partner with us
If you are a veterinary clinic, business, or organization interested in collaboration, we would love to speak with you.

If you are new here, start by sending us a message. We can share current donation needs, drop off information, and how our programs work.

Thank you for being part of a community that shows up for pets and families, from one paw to another.

Why Paws 2 Paws Is a For Profit LLC

We want to be transparent from the very beginning.

Paws 2 Paws operates as a for profit LLC because this structure allows us to move faster, reduce red tape, and begin serving pets and families in need without long delays, high startup costs, or the requirement of a board of directors.

Our focus is impact and accessibility. Operating as an LLC gives us the flexibility to respond to emergencies, partner locally, and adapt to real community needs as they arise. Every resource we receive is directed toward pet relief, shared supplies, and access to care.

While we are not a nonprofit and contributions are not tax deductible, our mission remains community focused, transparent, and service driven. If creating a nonprofit arm makes sense in the future, that is something we may explore separately. For now, this structure allows us to help sooner rather than later.

Thank you for supporting a community that believes in neighbors helping neighbors, from one paw to another.
