Sixty was in last fall for ground work....safe to say he remembers what Travis taught him! And he remembers Travis's cues. He is back in to be started under saddle. ♣️

Sometimes as a breeder you do everything right... and nature still has a different plan.

We fought hard for this little c**t. We threw the book at him, brought in the vet, tried every option we had, and held onto hope until the very end. He was born the day we laid Rondo to rest...

Unfortunately, it just wasn't enough.

I guess Grandpa needed this c**t more than we did.

Travis said Grandma Marie always had a soft spot for a bay c**t with a strip down his face and a few white socks. Maybe that's why this one was called home so soon.

His time here was far too short, but he was loved every minute he was with us.

It hurts when you pour your heart into something and still lose. That's the reality of breeding livestock sometimes. No matter how much knowledge, experience, or care you have, there are moments that remind you nature always gets the final say...

Run free little man. Grandpa and Grandma will be waiting to brand you, saddle you up, and take you for a ride in a couple years.
