It’s a cold night in Texas! But everyone is snuggled up inside and warm. One of these cuties will be leaving Christmas Eve (not a Christmas impulse, just good timing and a fun morning for the kids). The other is staying on at Thistle Ridge and will be making the holiday rounds with me this week while we visit friends and family Stay warm, eat yummy food, and hug your loved ones!

Received this picture of Thistle Ridge Charlie (Havoc & Dealer) this morning and a note from his owner:

“Charlie is doing awesome he has tracked numerous deer and hogs . There hasn’t been one the he hasn’t tracked. He is batting 1000 !!! Best dog I’ve ever owned . He’s a very loyal partner follows me everywhere !
Thank you so much”

This is from last season. He was a beautiful puppy and has turned into a handsome dog 🥰 Thank you so much for the pic and update Serjio! I’m so excited to see that he’s doing well for y’all.

Ballad and Dealer are expecting! Puppies due mid-January. This should be a great cross with a lot of potential for great tracking dogs.

Mags & Reaper’s Final Four have been heading out. Foxy (or maybe Trigger - her owner said she’s trying to name herself!) went to the Hill Country to live with Guide Matt Telkuve of Tek Outdoors and is already learning the ropes! The second one got her last snuggles in this morning before heading out to Todd Johnson to start her new job at La India Ranch. Can’t wait to see these girls in action! Number three is hanging here until closer to Christmas for a little training and will be a great surprise for some unsuspecting kiddos that are missing their terrier that crossed the rainbow bridge a while back. And number 4 is staying here at Thistle Ridge and will be starting her training as Rip’s sidekick in January. I’m so happy with this litter. Next up will be a litter from Dealer and Ballad due in January. If you’re interested in a tracking dog, now is the time to make your reservation to have one started for the 2023 season!
