Welcome to the new home of AussomeDawgs Training in Southeastern NC. With over 25 years experience of training and competing with multiple dogs, in multiple dogsports (agility, frisbee, rally/obedience, flyball, nosework, barn hunt, herding, conformation &+), we kind of love dogs!
AussomeDawgs started in New England and then NYC. Working in the behavior department of a nationally known animal welfare organization, our focus was on solving dog behavior issues. Caught the Agility bug and the rest is history! Have taught classes in various locations, including St Huberts in NJ.
Love training and problem solving, our focus is on DogSports because they are all so much fun-for us and the dogs! Training methodology is reward based, with an emphasis on building a bond and teamwork with your dog. We believe that training should build your dog's confidence and sparkle in their eye, not dampen their spirit or squash their enthusiasm. Impulse Control can be taught in a positive way.
SportDog Workshops and classes are planned for early 2025, will post updates here. Private lessons will also be available.
