Dorking out over a win! We applied a thick mound of arborist chip drop to this area last year and let our chickens dig around and p**p in it. Completely unintentionally, we brought in this chicken tractor for a few weeks. The 5 grain chicken scratch that was on the mulch sprouted and is absolutely beautiful. We had failed at growing anything in this area. But when regenerative practices were put into place it created the life and organic material to sustain it. 😍😍😍

We harvested the last of the seminole pumpkins today and just may sell out by the end of the day. The caterpillars have officially arrived in the pumpkin patch. The chickens will be happy about that if we can get them out there 😅.

We have an unknown citrus variety, and it is the first time we have seen the tree fruit. This one was found on the ground. I am thinking it didn't ripen then fall since all of the others are still green. The suspense is real 😁.

We had an excellent garden party yesterday with some wonderful, like-minded folks. Thank you, Sofya T Brown and all of our permaculture groups and friends for making this happen. We look forward to having healthy vegetables to share with our community. I can't wait for the next event 👩‍🌾.

We will be hosting a garden clean up/planting party tomorrow, Sept 6th at 9am, with our permaculture friends from Bradford County and Jax. We are looking forward to the relationships these events build in our communities. Join us if you can. We also will have an optional seed/plant swap. Bring garden tools and a big ol water 😁.

Cranberry hibiscus infused water, lemon, and butterfly pea ice cubes. It is light, refreshing, healthy, and delicious! And it can totally be spiked 😅.

Our chickens have been hard workers. They turned a big pile of chip drop into garden gold. We are sifting the big chunks out and plan on adding this excellent compost to our fall garden.
