We have a new resident little guy! This little man will be joining us to learn flashy obedience and be one of our demo dogs, and help be an example for dogs we are training for clients. Meet Grimm, he is a Yorkie Maltese mix, hes about 13 months old, and we are excited to see all the fun things he does here with us.

We offer obedience programs, ranging from puppy foundations, all the way through advanced obedience. We also offer behavior modification programs for dogs who may be struggling with some more serious behavior issues, and for disabled individuals we offer service dog training!

PSA CRATE YOUR DOGS.

Ive gotten comment 1on previous posts of mine, "get rid of the crates!" My answer is simply, no. I care about the lives of my animals, they will be crated when unsupervised, and i instruct all my clients to do the same.

No, it doesnt matter if you trust your dog to roam.
No, it doesnt matter if you feel bad putting them in.

It is the safest place for them to be when you arent home.

All dogs should be crate trained, even if they arent ceated when youre home with them. A vet will crate them, groomers crate them, they may have to be crated in an emergency evacuation shelter during a hurricane. Why would you add so much more stress by not having your dog already understand what a crate is and how to be calm in it?
If there is a house fire while youre away, you can tell emergency services exacly where the animals to save are, and not hope they find them wherever they decided to hide (cabinets, under furniture, closet shelves, etc) before the fireman has to retreat for their own safety.

Rot is an 18mo GSD x Malinois that needs a handler.

She can be trained for psychiatric tasks, medical alert, or non weight bearing mobility.
Already spayed, great with dogs, cats, kids, and is a very friendly girl. Not a sport prospect but needs a job. Can be finished when a handler is found, as tasks are highly personal and vary handler to handler.

Its summer time! 🐕🏖 Make sure you keep those pups cool while doing all those fun summer activities, its super important to remember to look out for signs of heat stroke in dogs.
🌞When you go outside, be sure you keep water and a bowl with you for your dog, and offer sips of water regularly.

Signs of heat stroke to watch out for include
excessive panting
thick drool
vomiting
unsteadiness when walking.

If you notice these signs in your dog, it is imperative that you carry them to shade immediately, and begin to cool them off. DO NOT offer them water to drink if they are experiencing vomiting or are unsteady on their feet, this can make things worse! Pour cool water over their paw pads and groin, and contact a vet immediately. These temperatures can be deadly, even in a matter of minutes.
