Last summer, Lollypop Farm teamed up with local organizations to host several community pet events throughout the Rochester area. We are thrilled to announce that we are doing it again! 🐾

At these events, we invite members of the community to come for FREE pet vaccines (for dogs: DAP-P [known as the "distemper/parvo" vaccine] and rabies and for cats: FVRCP [known as the "feline distemper" vaccine] and rabies), FREE pet food, FREE pet behavior advice, and FREE pet supplies like leashes and collars.

Please check out the graphic to see when and where these events take place. They will all take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until we run out of vaccines. Please also note that at some events, we will ONLY have vaccines available for dogs.

We want to give a BIG shoutout to Petco Love for providing the vaccines we will be using at these events!

BIRD FLU: Keep cats safe! Cats are very susceptible to H5N1, also known as bird or avian flu, but at this time the overall risk for exposure and infection is believed to be low. The virus has ravaged poultry farms, leading to the mass killing of over 150 million birds. Now, it's been detected in dairy cows, cats—even humans.

Signs of H5N1 infection in cats:
⛔ Respiratory problems like coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge, trouble breathing
⛔ Lethargy
⛔ Neurological disorders, such as disorientation or trouble walking
⛔ Sudden onset of severe disease or death without prior signs of illness or injury

Hi friends and followers… just a quick reminder that Emily’s Happy Critters is no longer in business. I am no longer available for pet sitting and dog walking. I have had a few inquiries in the past few days. 😁Thank you again to all my former clients on a great 13 years in business. I miss you all. (Mindy and Kathy, this doesn’t pertain to you😉)

Now, I am on my…I guess you could say… 5 th career. As most of you know I am volunteering at Lollypop Farm with the farm animals. I am also now working on a farm in Springwater, Ny a couple of days a week, helping care for 5 horses, 12 goats, 1 cow and 14 donkeys. It is a dream job. All the animals there are basically pets, even Hershel the cow. I love the hard work and spending hours with the animals. The picture is me with one of my donkey friends. I’ll share more pics of my new friends later.

Lots of pictures of my farm friends at Lollypop Farm this week. All are available for adoption.
I don’t know about you all, but the last 2 weeks have been a complete “sh$t”show, if you know what I mean. My 4 hours volunteering at Lollypop, along with the time I spend with my own animals at home , keep the anxiety, depression and heart rate in check.
Find something you love and put your whole heart into it ❤️ Peace💙
