Life on the homestead has its own rhythm.
This week, we said a very sad goodbye to our two oldest hens...faithful, feathery ladies who’ve clucked their way through summers of bugs, dust baths, and mischeif. The coop feels quieter without them ❤️

But the very next day, we found a baby starling under the tree in our yard. Tiny, fluffy, and chirping like the sky itself had sent us a song.

I think the universe has a funny way of tucking new life into the places that feel suddenly too empty.

So now we’re learning the art of starling snuggles, bug snacks, and tiny peeps at sunrise.
Feathers fly on.
