We will be doing a soft opening soon🤫🤫
It's time to get down to business!
Purrfection Rescue is looking for volunteers!
If you live near Inman SC - reach out so we can add you to a special private group created for all of us. Brianne Shaffer and I are going to be posting things on that group for members to share on their own profiles (if they wish) so we can spread the word and really get this rescue off the ground and thriving!
The plan is to create a safe space for up to 100 rotating cats plus the current Feline Furever Farm purrmanent residents to live in an ABSOLUTELY NO KILL / FREE ROAM / SUPER SAFE (IMMACULATE) ENVIRONMENT. LORD KNOWS this area DESPERATELY NEEDS THIS!
The Feline Furever Farm will still be in existence and always is in need of Friskies and Fancy Feast canned food donations, Land and Sea Dry, Temptations Dry, (and Pixie Purrfect asks for "Churus too!" of course) - as well as pine litter or fine shavings - and cleaning supplies such as citrasolve, bleach (regular - no scentiva), Mrs Myers Lavender Concentrate Cleaner, Dawn dish detergent, Gain Relax Laundry Detergent and other stuff that is listed on the Purrfection Rescue site. Right now, The Feline Furever Farm goes through about 50 to 75 pounds of dry a week (some is lost to wildlife...but don't blame Otis. He free roams the place but because he knows he's always going to find food at a station, he just eats as much as a normal cat. It is the c***s that really wreak havoc on the budget and will clean out every area in one night, sometimes even figuring out how to open up the feed bins and burglarize the place, leaving me without a morsel the next morning!) I also go through about 140 cans of food a week (70 fancy feast and 70 friskies.) With the addition of Purrfection Rescue that amount is going to more than double!
Feline Furever Farm will be the purrmanent residence for seniors, ferals that want to stay feral, unadoptables (i.e. kitties that are chronic escape artists or cats that have been abused who we feel would be safer / be less stressed remaining under our supervision, and the long term solution for highly bonded pairs who would be depressed unless adopted out together.)
Also we are seeking a person who is an experienced fund raiser/grant writer to help if you are one or know of one. We try to do it all ourselves but we are so busy taking care of the ones already here and at Bri's place (while working full time/managing own self employed businesses etc.) - we are finding that only have so much time and energy - not to mention with already about 75 to 80 under our own care between us - we never know what we are waking up to! So we need help! We need volunteers to help us make the vision into a reality.
Help us make this dream into a reality! The Upstate NEEDS THIS to happen!
