This old gal 🩷. I cannot even believe how great she is doing since monthly acupuncture and her daily Ellevet chews. She could hardly get out of her bed a year ago. Now she’s out rolling around in the yard. Thank goodness for Dr. Jennifer Tacia. She is amazing vet and person.

Looks like Cheyenne approves of new mom new home. When she came here she had zero confidence. At least I was able to send her off trusting and self assured . ❤️ Mom Pat is working on the rest.

Cheyenne has been adopted. Her mom drove down from Upstate NY and we met her this morning in Tysons Corner. Have a great life Cheyenne. We love you always sweet girl.

Joan has texted me every single year for fourteen years on the adoption date of her Lucy. Doesn’t get any better than this for someone who rescues. Love you Joan ❤️.

Merry getting a second summer clip. She is a cushings and insulin resistant pony and the summer coat is like a winter coat. We have to assist with keeping her comfortable through out the summer.

It's been a difficult week. Thank you for your kindness on the loss of our Stevie and thank you for honoring his memory. Seventeen years is a good long life. We will miss him forever.

I would never have guessed that this first pic would be the last I’d ever take of Stevie. Stevie moved along to the next realm yesterday afternoon just a few days shy of his 17th birthday. He passed away at home. We were with him and loving him until he took his last breath. I don’t even know what to do with myself. How do you get back to normal after losing something that had been in your life for 17 years. I’ve included a fundraising link. If anyone would like to make a donation in Stevie’s memory.

While we are trying to be very careful to not get in over our heads … we did just take five senior hens. They have integrated perfectly with the other two hens, one guinea rooster, and one crippled rooster named Peggy.
