🚨🐾 MANNY’S UPDATE: Health Progress, Pet Safety Warning, and Criminal Charges🚓—Read Below 🐾🚨

We have an emotional rollercoaster of an update on Manny! 🎢❤️
First, his health is soaring—just 21 days after starting care, he’s gone from 34 pounds to 57 pounds! 🐶💪
But, on Saturday, Manny had diarrhea and later vomited. It was then discovered that he threw up two corn cobs. A vet visit was scheduled for today and the vet believes the corn cobs had been inside him for weeks. X-rays were done, and thankfully, no other issues were found. 🙏

⚠️ Caution to Pet Owners: Corn cobs are extremely dangerous for dogs. They can cause serious intestinal blockages, so please keep them away from your pets and be vigilant. ⚠️

⚖️ Justice for Manny: Criminal charges have now been filed against the person responsible for Manny’s abuse. We know many of you have been waiting, and we will share the full story, including names, very soon.

Re*****on has been waiting 664 days for his forever home. 🕰️

That’s 664 days of watching other dogs leave… and wondering when it will finally be his turn. 💙

His story is heartbreaking. Re*****on was abandoned in a home with a small Chihuahua, left alone for an unknown amount of time. In order to survive, he broke through a window and was later found lying on the porch, waiting for help to arrive. 🚔

After spending time at the Hutchinson Animal Shelter, he was brought into our care—and he’s been patiently waiting ever since.
Re*****on is a special boy who needs just the right home—not just any home:
🐶 No small or hyperactive dogs
🐶 Prefers calm, larger companions—or being the only dog
🏡 Thrives in a quiet, structured environment
⚠️ Not suited for a busy or highly social lifestyle

He can be protective of his people and struggles with strangers. If someone he doesn’t know moves too quickly into his space or reaches toward his face, he may try to nip—so respecting his boundaries and going slow is essential.

💪 The good news? Re*****on has been working with a trainer and continues to make progress every day. With patience and consistency, he learns to trust.

His love is deep, loyal, and truly one of a kind.

This little pup has been running around the McCandless school area for a couple of days and fortunately I was able to catch him this evening. If you are missing this cutie or know who the owner might be, please have them contact us. He has received a much-needed bath, sticker removal, and we picked a lot of fleas and ticks off of him.

💥NO… he is not available for adoption!! He will be under stray hold for the next few days.
