Practicing place in library square right in the middle of Hutch. This is hard for Sig as squirrels are everywhere, but he did great. We tethered him to the bench for safety, but he didn't step off his mat even when we walked across the park.

It is really cool to see how much having a place helps him settle.

Sig after an exceptionally hard day's work of giving me grey hair at an early age.

We traveled up to Eli's mom's place for mother's day. Sig never counter surfs. But today, he stole a rhubarb loaf off her counter. I am going to believe it was already on the ground, but I know better🤪

It was a good reminder that no matter how well trained a dog is, they are not machines. Sometimes they just want a yummy snack and will happily sneak it when they are two feet away from you.

I will post a video later of him being a GREAT boy, but I figured shenanigans can be shared first.

Sig practicing "place."

What you do not see in these pictures is that we are actually at a 2-year-old's birthday party with people and kids (Sig loves kids) milling about. Food is everywhere and people are constantly moving.

I was curious to see how he would handle this, and he is rocking it! I love the calm that "place" creates for dogs.
