We’re working on something new around here.

Reynn and I are home from a long weekend of learning from THE Sandy Collier. We had our butts handed to us more than once, I wanted to cry more than once, but most importantly, we kept trying more than once. Together we learned that Reynn and I have all the pieces to a puzzle that is going to be killer when we put it together.

That’s right folks. After two years off, Reynn and I are going cutter to cow horse! We can’t wait to see you in the show pen next season!

Four years ago we put action behind our dreams and started a very selective breeding program.

Three years ago those first few Reynn foals hit the ground.

Every year since we have anxiously awaited the day that we get to see our program shine, and holy smokes is the view BRIGHT!

“Dean” came from that tiny first foal crop, and Natasha was our first public buyer. She and her team saw something they liked in this little orphan foal (I may be biased, but it wasn’t hard to do) and became the first investor in what we believed would be a stellar matchup of sire and dam. Boy were we right!

We could not be more proud of Natasha, her horse Dean, and their trainer Shawn Deal!

Congratulations to the FIRST Magic Valley Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) L1 Non Pro Futurity CHAMPION to come from Top Shelf Equine, MAKIN IT REYNN! ☔️🫧

Adding to his growing list of accomplishments, Dean is also the Open Futurity Circuit Champion of the Gem State Stock Horse Association!

Mare Spotlight Monday!

We LOVE seeing Metallic Reynn babies succeeding in life, and we couldn’t be more happy for Heather and Sydney! Their ‘Reynn Drop’ is already a well behaved little citizen! ☔️

We sure appreciate our breeder clients and the work they put in to raising these nice c**ts by our stallion, Reynn! 👏🏻👏🏻

“June and Rowdy spam!

First of all it takes an amazing mare to create an amazing c**t and June is one of the best horses we have ever had the pleasure of raising. She had 10 months off and after all of 2 minutes of ground work (mostly for our reassurance, she didn’t turn a hair) she was happy to go to work. June was willing, never made a fuss about walking off without Rowdy, and was as calm and collected as she always has been. And Sydney was only riding in a halter. She puts up with ALL of the shenanigans!

Rowdy continuously proves himself to be a willing participant. Today he ponied for the first time in his paddock and then out on the hillside. Tied to tree while Sydney was working with June and never seemed worried for a second. At 2.5 months old I can already tell he is going to make an excellent hand!

I originally bought June for me but she just didn’t get big enough. June and Sydney Finney have come a long way in their relationship and Sydney has done an excellent job of bringing her along. It has taken some coaching and honestly frustration at times but the end result makes my heart happy. ❤️”

Ol’ Reynn Man has been on show sabbatical this season, but we had enough success last summer to get this gem in our inbox today! We won’t be attending, but we qualified for World in AQHA cutting in the amateur level 2 & 3! Not bad for only showing one AQHA show last season! 🤩

I write this with a whole lot of sadness but also with hope that the overwhelming stress we have been under in making this decision might be lifted from our shoulders.

We have spent the last ten years dreaming of creating a high end yet affordable performance prospect program for everyday people like us, and for the last five years we have done just that. We have obsessed over the pedigrees, scrutinized the conformation of every horse we added to the herd, and worked to ensure that we weren't just breeding to breed. We built what we hoped would be considered a 'Top Shelf' breeding program. We 100% believe in our creation, and so far, many of YOU have placed your trust in it as well! We have our foals in futurity homes across the country to show for that, and Reynn is consistently booked full to the very best outside mares each breeding season. For that, we THANK YOU!

But as life (and the economy) continues to change, we are needing to take a step back from this incredibly consuming lifestyle and business venture. We don't take this decision lightly, and trust me, it has been discussed and dissected in every way imaginable. While we feel like we will be back at it when the timing is right, for the next few years we will be focused on living a little less stressed.. maybe enjoying a vacation or two, too.

All that to say, we have a lot of horses available to new homes. Fillies we intended to keep and start for ourselves, a mare or two, a couple young geldings, and yes, a really nice stallion as well. If you've ever seen something of ours that you liked, now is your chance to scoop up a herd that we would have never considered letting go. I will be working over the next several weeks to get updated pictures of everything, and trying to decide what we need to get for them. Everything we have available is sound and prospect worthy, or could hit the show pen.

These pictures are just for attention, but this filly will be (reluctantly) available to a show home. I hope whoever ends up with these very loved four leggers enjoys them as much as we have enjoyed creating them!

She’s never had a bath and she wouldn’t stand square, but look at this beauty! From 6 weeks to 2 years (and a month)… We knew she was going to be the most shapey girl in town! Scroll to see the glow-up! Spice Cake is a little clone of her Ma, videoed in the comments below working the flag. We can’t wait to get this one in the show pen! 🤩

This filly is by Metallic Reynn (Metallic Cat x Dual Rey daughter), and out of Wooden Nickels (Woody Be Tuff x Cha Ching And Change). All three of these crosses have been built like tanks!

Any of my friends have any pageantry gear available for a little miss? Size 6/7 or 7/8. She is just starting out on a loaner horse and needs ALL of the gear. Clothing, 12” saddle, tack, etc. Help me help her!
