Another meeting, support growing 🥰
Libby Post joined our team at the local diner to discuss the long overdue NEED for a genuine county supported humane society. She will be so important to guide this movement forward. Warren County was deceived by a prior “humane society” that squandered $ on needless things. Ultimately they shut the doors and amounted to nothing.‼️It’s credibility, experience, and transparency that will matter.

📌 Libby Post is the Executive Director of the New York State Animal Protection Federation (NYSAPF) and a veteran political communications strategist who has helped grow statewide advocacy for animal shelters and secure real funding through New York’s Companion Animal Capital Fund.

She works at the state level — helping counties:
• build humane shelter systems
• access funding
• meet legal standards
• stop animals from falling through the cracks

Her involvement here is not politics.
And it’s not personal gain. It’s because animal welfare is long long overdue 😡

My stepping forward is happening because Warren and Washington Counties have no county-run animal shelter so they dump on the local vets, taxpayers and rescues!!!

While other counties seize dozens of animals at once and have somewhere safe to bring them, our counties rely on:
❌ no intake facility
❌ no shelter
❌ no multi-species capacity
❌ no system law enforcement can fall back on

And yet I was written back by Mr. John Taflan, Warren County Administrator, “current needs are being met.”

They are not.
He is literally off base big time! What an absolute disgrace. We fund these ignorant people‼️
🎄 As we head into the holidays animals here are still being abandoned, abused, and displaced with nowhere to go.

This is why we are building something new.
This is why we are not backing down.
This is why statewide leadership must step up

Animals deserve a shelter.
Taxpayers deserve a system.
And this should not be controversial.

Halloween hike with Winston, Ray & Reno ! 🎃 These three had a blast climbing on tree trunks, romping around in the leaves, and the stream together!
