Tormento WL exudes true Lusitano type. This handsome dapple-grey gelding, by Mistral and out of Nata—both from Manuel Braga’s renowned stud—is a beautiful blend of traditional, highly functional bloodlines.

Now six months into our training program, Tormento is making wonderful progress. But every horse deserves a break from mentally demanding work. From time to time, we let our horses simply enjoy themselves in the arena—and Tormento was more than happy to show off his athleticism, expression, and joy for movement.

Sometimes, the best training session is just letting them be horses. ✨

Champions don’t happen by chance—they’re bred and trained for greatness.

Another of our selected stallions is Istambul SS.

Bred by Sociedade das Silveiras, this exceptional stallion has formed an incredible partnership with his rider , earning 1st place at the highest level of Working Equitation at both the Festival in Lisbon and the prestigious Ponte de Lima Horse Fair ( ).

Istambul SS is also the sire of our gold medal-winning Santarém WL, and we’re excited to watch his next generation of foals follow in his footsteps.

Do you remember the stunning Ofensor MAC? Last year, he took our social media by storm with his incredible looks, breed type, and presence.

Ofensor (Habil MV x Princesa MAC) is one of the stallions we carefully selected to cross with our mares—a decision we believed in from the start. This year, that confidence was further reinforced when he earned the Best Stallion Progeny award at ’s FICL in Lisbon, Portugal.

Congratulations to his breeder on this outstanding achievement! We can’t wait to see the next generation unfold. ✨

This weekend, at the birthplace of the Lusitano, hosted one of the world’s largest events dedicated to the breed in Lisbon, Portugal. The Wasatch Lusitanos team was there to witness it!

Some of the finest Lusitanos competed across a variety of classes, showcasing the exceptional quality, athleticism, and heritage of the breed. We’re excited to share that we’ll soon have some very special news about the winners of several of the top classes.
