We have a new senior in our senior center. Welcome 4 yr old Walter!
Walter was very well cared for and loved tremendously but circumstances prevented continued care. We were happy to add him to our senior herd.
Walter is in a quarantine bin with a wheel, pellets to dig in and blankets to cozy up in. Our quarantine room is 80 degrees so he doesn't need an individual heat lamp. He will be in quarantine for 2 weeks then will be able to join the other hedgies in our Hedgehog room.
We will let him settle in for a couple days then work on socialization. Stay tuned for updates.

Jax needs a home. He is a 1.5 yr old Toy Fox Terrier. He does have separation anxiety so he needs a retired/sahm owner. This boy is in the Austin area. If you are lonely then he is the perfect lap pup for you. Help me save Jax and find him a new home.

W***y is receiving his meds like a champ

RBEH Family, we have an emergency.
W***y is only 4 months old and has an eye that got infected. He decided to scratch it himself last night. His owner has now relinquished him to us at RBEH and HWS. We know he is in so much pain. Please consider helping with W***y's medical care. Even $1 will help.

We rely on our RBEH family in these dire situations. Please help W***y if you are able. We have a walk in appointment for 8am tomorrow morning with Dr Ross at Cy-fair Animal Hospital in Cypress, TX. We will continue to update you all on his condition.

Update: the eye is still there, just very infected and with multiple ulcerations from scratching. Dr Ross wants to try to save the eye because W***y is so young and already is blind in the other eye. Even if he is fully blind, saving the eye is preferred. We have eye drops and pain meds and our recheck is in 10 days. He isn't fully out of the woods. A $1500 surgery could still be happening, but we need to try and save it for his sake. So far we have raised $175 and today's bill was $280 so at least we have time to see what will happen. Thank you to everyone who shared, donated and prayed.
