🐾❤️ A QUICK UPDATE ON OUR 5 NEWEST CRESTED ARRIVALS! ❤️🐾

We’ve received a lot of questions about Silas, Mary Grace, Phoebe, Zelda, and Quinton, so here’s a little update!

🐶 Ages: They’re between 1 and 6 years old.

🏡 When can they be adopted? They’ll be available in the upcoming weeks, depending on their medical progress and behavioral needs. We want to make sure each one is ready for their next chapter!

🚗 Do we adopt out of state? Absolutely! Out-of-state adoptions are welcome. The adopter is responsible for transportation costs.

📝 How do I apply? Our adoption application is available online:
https://chinesecrestedrescue.org/application-adopt-volunteer/

❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has already donated to help these five babies! Your generosity means so much to us and to the dogs in our care.

We’re still in need of donations to cover even their basic veterinary needs, including exams, medications, and routine care. Every dollar helps, and no donation is too small!

🐾❤️ FIVE NEW FACES. FIVE NEW BEGINNINGS. ONE BIG NEED FOR YOUR HELP! ❤️🐾

This week, Tender Loving Crested Rescue welcomed FIVE Chinese Cresteds! Meet Silas, Mary Grace, Phoebe, Zelda, and Quinton. Ages 1–6, these sweet souls now have a chance at the happy, healthy lives they deserve. 💕

🐾 PHOEBE has significant skin and ear infections, with allergies contributing to her discomfort. She’ll need multiple rounds of treatment and medicated baths.

🐾 MARY GRACE has a urinary tract infection and is heartworm positive.

🐾 SILAS, our handsome deaf boy, has a dislocated shoulder. We’re arranging an orthopedic consultation to determine the best treatment.

🐾 ZELDA & QUINTON appear healthy so far and will see the vet early next week. Fingers crossed! 🤞

We’ve already begun their veterinary care, but the costs are adding up quickly. Between exams, medications, treatments, and potentially surgery, we need YOUR help! ❤️

❤️ Meet Bunker ❤️

Bunker isn't a Chinese Crested, but when he needed help, we couldn't turn him away.

Bunker recently had a toe amputated after it was diagnosed with carcinoma. Thankfully, the surgery is behind him, but his journey isn't quite over. We're monitoring him closely for any additional spots, and we're hopeful that this sweet boy gets to enjoy a long, happy life.

Because of his medical needs, Bunker will most likely become one of our **forever fosters**—a dog who stays with Tender Loving Crested Rescue for the rest of his life. That means we continue to provide for him, including his veterinary care, medications, and anything else he needs.

And Bunker isn't the only expense we've had recently.

Behind every dog we rescue are the less visible costs that keep a rescue running. We've recently had website hosting and domain renewals, in addition to our veterinary expenses. Those things may not be as exciting as seeing a dog find their forever home, but they're what allow us to continue saying **YES** when a dog needs us.

Right now, we need to raise approximately **$3,000**.

That will allow us to pay down our current veterinary bill and, just as importantly, give us a little cushion for the next dog who comes through our door needing help.

We know it sometimes feels like we're always asking. ❤️
The truth is, rescue is an ongoing commitment. The dogs don't stop needing us when the Facebook post disappears or when the surgery is over. And we don't want to be in a position where a dog needs help and we have to say, *“I'm sorry, we can't afford it.”*

If you've ever adopted from us, fostered for us, shared one of our posts, donated, volunteered, or simply cheered one of our dogs on from afar—**you are part of this rescue.**

If you can make a donation toward our $3,000 goal, even $5 or $10, it truly adds up. And if you aren't able to donate right now, **sharing this post is just as appreciated.** ❤️

Let's give Bunker—and the next dog who needs us—the promise that when they need help, **we've got them.**

We try not to ask for donations unless it's truly necessary. We have 2 new dogs that need full vetting including dentals. We also have some administrative costs for our website hosting coming up.

Please consider making a tax deductible donation to help us! We are a 501c3 organization and will provide receipts for any donation received.
