Woohoo, summer and its brutal heat is approaching! That's great for some of us, but let's be real... not all of us (hello, kids being home all day). As we gear up for Memorial Day celebrations, let's not forget about our furry friends.

*Pet Safety Tips for Memorial Day Weekend:*

- Keep your pets indoors during fireworks displays (my baby gets pretty scared so if I am home, I am forced to sit in bed with him with the tv loud 😢).
- Provide a safe and quiet space for them to relax
- Consider a calming aid if necessary
- Don't forget to protect them from the heat: limit exercise to cooler hours, monitor their behavior, and provide plenty of water and shade
- Don't forget to contact your sitters if you have plans!

Let's make this holiday weekend a fun and safe one for all our family members - two-legged and four-legged alike! Stay safe!

Today we celebrate a very special angel's birthday – my mom's – co-founder of Catering Critter Sitters, and forever in our hearts.
Though she's now in heaven, her love, legacy, and passion for pets live on through our business and the countless lives she touched.
Her heart and spirit continue to guide everything we do – caring for pets and owners with the same love she inspired.
We cherish memories of mom's kindness, patience, and joy around every furry friend.
Happy Heavenly Birthday, Mom – still very loved, extremely missed, forever grateful for your paw print on our lives. And thank you to you all for being in her life. She treasured a lot of your relationships, with you, and your pets!

Check out this sweet senior boy who ended up at the shelter. I’m currently fostering Charles, and he is amazingly sweet and easy! I wish I could adopt him myself but he’s not a fan of cats (and I have three). So well behaved in every other way… potty trained, crate trained (but doesn’t need to be crated), excellent on leash, good with other dogs, and has loved everyone he has met. He’s happy to just cuddle on the couch with you… but also loves his strolls in the neighborhood. He’s looking to spend the rest of his life loving on his very own family.

Miss Blakee is a VERY sweet and special girl... seriously one of the most laid back, affectionate lap cats I’ve ever met. Never met a stranger! She seems to be a bit older than 6 yrs… but senior pets have so much love to give and happen to be my favorite age. We had the pleasure of sitting for her in her foster home while she gained some weight and got healthy again. She is currently looking for her forever home. If interested, please contact the Montgomery County Animal Shelter. She will steal your heart! ❤️
