Erika and Poppy are our last two female babies from last year. The girls are always easier to adopt than the boys. These two have been bonding since Poppy's mother passed from colic early this year. Orchid was rescued pregnant just over two years ago and much too old to be having a baby. We were lucky that Poppy was weaned and surrounded by so many mommies to help protect her.

The baby boys born last year, nicknamed "the frat boys" by our volunteers, and their baby sitter have started undergoing training. Our goal is to have them walking on a lead and a part of the Donkey Walks before we start our Gelding Fundraiser in the Fall. If we can get them gelded, we can get them adopted!
Four out of five of these boys turned one this year, the other turning two. We've got them with a "baby sitter" for protection since they are not fully grown.

It's National Donkey Day!
Today we cele-bray our favorite equine. Often misunderstood and underestimated, these gentle souls carry more than loads-- they carry legacies.
Let's give them the love (and carrots) they disserve.
Support them in whatever ways you can!

Adoption Time!
Folsom, Helah, and Moya Grace were delivered on Easter to their forever homes! Helah and Folsom have been featured adoptions at several of our Donkey Walks and we are so happy to see them to a good home. Helah and Moya Grace recently bonded in the medical barn where Helah was being treated for the equine version of PICA and Moya Grace was on a weight loss journey. We're happy to have an adopter willing to continue their rehabilitation and give them the loving home they deserve.
