Oh my oh my! Officer Goar went to a citizen’s aid to pick up this rather large rat snake. Poor guy was tangled up in the citizen’s garden fence webbing and couldn’t get out. No fear! Rosenberg Animal Control and Shelter to the rescue! It was safely released in the woods close by. This delivery guy happened to be at the shelter and was amazed at this guy and wanted his picture with it.

Friends of Rosenberg’s Homeless Pets along with Rosenberg Animal Control and Shelter held a vaccination/microchip clinic at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rosenberg. Nearly 80 owned pets were given vaccines and/or microchips at this free drive thru clinic. It started at 9am with people lining up at 7:45. It takes a lot of work and manpower to pull off an event like this. The team included Friends Director Carolyn Seiler, Officer Sarah Goar, Friends Board Member Debbie Starrett Hottman, Shelter Director Omar Polio, and Dr. Aurora Walker. It was hot and sweaty in 100 degrees but it was all worth it for the animals! Thanks to PetSet for their granting to help make this possible!
