Bo and I made our way south yesterday to the Tejas Ranch Horse Show to compete in our first w/t/l classes. I was so proud of my guy for taking everything in stride. It was WINDY, a new place and the warm up pen was somewhat controlled chaos but he did great with it all. Amateur Rookie was a big class with ten riders but we placed 4th in rail and 3rd in stock horse pleasure (technically tied for 2nd but I lost the tiebreaker). I had zero expectations of placing so I was super happy with the day. I also got to spend the day with a fantastic group of ladies who were supportive and we all cheered each other on. Makes all the difference when you show with people like that ❤️ Looking forward to working on some homework and getting to the next show!

I have a HKM turnout sheet for sale, size 77, black, brand new. I bought it for my gelding but it’s too big. I think these fit warmbloods or bigger breeds than a QH (unless you have a robust QH)

I spent the morning with the Conroe Mounted Police Department and the fabulous saddle fitter Laurie MacDonald. We were able to shim some Ecogold western pads for a couple of horses that were having saddle fit issues and make things a lot more comfortable for them. Today was such a good reminder of how important saddle fit is and to get the help of a professional if you are unsure of how your tack is fitting. The ability to shim our Ecogold pads is such a benefit to make adjustments, especially as your horse grows or changes body shape. So impressed with the group of officers out there and their program!
