Happy 4th of July from the pack! 🇺🇸🐾
While we’re all celebrating, just a reminder that fireworks can be overstimulating — even scary — for a lot of pets. Here’s how to help keep them calm and safe tonight:

🐕‍🦺 Take them for a long walk before dark to burn energy
🧠 Add some play or puzzle toys to help tire them out
🏡 Keep them indoors with windows shut
🕯️ Close blinds or keep lights low since darkness can help
🐾 Make sure all their favorite hiding spots are accessible including that closet or under the bed
🔊 Use calming music or white noise to help drown out fireworks
🐶 Comfort them if they need it since your calm presence matters
🚪 Double check that doors, crates, and fences are secure
🆔 Make sure their ID tags and microchip info are up to date

🌈💔 Honoring Our Beloved Shady Waggers Pets 💔🌈

This Dia de los Mu***os, we’re celebrating the pets who have crossed the rainbow bridge and left unforgettable paw prints on our hearts. ❤️🐾 Here’s to our Shady Waggers family:

✨ Acie – A true gentleman in his red vest, Acie loved to be carried on walks and was never in a rush to wake from a nap. We miss his cool spirit. 😎🐾

✨ Bailey & Lillie – These two queens lived long, happy lives and were treated like royalty in every way. 👑🐾🐾

✨ Bau – His goofy spirit and silly smiles brightened every visit, especially for his little brother, Onyx! 🐶💕

✨ Boss John – This big, fluffy teddy bear loved his pets, even when muddy! His big heart and gentle spirit are missed daily. 🐻💙

✨ Dexter – Our Scooby-Doo lookalike! Dexter’s smiles brought so much joy to us and his young fans alike. 😄🐕

✨ Elsie – A little doe-eyed adventurer who always gave the camera side-eye! Clever as she was sweet. 🦌💞

✨ Jack – One of our first pack members and a sweet, gentle soul. Jack loved her long adventures and snuggling up with those she loved. 🌟🐾

✨ Lola – Queenly and wise, Lola taught her little sister, Punkie, the ropes. We loved starting our mornings with her. 👑🐾

Halloween is fun for us humans, but it can be a bit spooky for our furry friends! 🐶 Here’s how to keep your dog safe and comfortable this Halloween:

1️⃣ Keep Candy Out of Reach: Chocolate and some candies can be toxic! Make sure treats are stored far away from curious noses 🍬🚫.

2️⃣ Comfortable Costumes: If you’re dressing up your pup, pick costumes that are comfy and don’t restrict movement. Avoid anything that covers their face or has small, chewable parts 🐕🎩.

3️⃣ Up-to-Date ID: With all the doorbell rings and open doors, there’s a chance your dog might try to slip out. Ensure they have up-to-date tags or a microchip, just in case 🏷️.

4️⃣ Decoration Safety: Watch out for electrical cords, candles, and small decorations that can be dangerous if chewed or knocked over! Battery-powered candles are a safe bet for jack-o’-lanterns 🔌🎃.

5️⃣ Quiet Space: Halloween can be overwhelming! Set up a quiet, cozy area where your dog can chill and avoid the noise of the festivities 🛋️💤.

6️⃣ Skip the Glow Sticks: They might be festive, but glow sticks are a no-go for curious chewers. They can cause irritation if broken and chewed 🌟🐾.
