Tina reached out to us last fall when we didn't (yet) have a volunteer program and waited patiently to be able to join us once we moved to our new and more accessible facility. She has a tremendous heart for our horses and desire to make a difference here at Ruby's Home for Good.

It’s First Friday!

We’ve been sharing a lot of our needs lately, and I wanted to take today to simply say this-

THANK YOU!!!

So many people have stepped up to join us in supporting veterans, youth, and horses in need. From in kind donations, wish list purchases, recurring donations, sponsorships, volunteer commitments and more - every contribution is vital to our impactful work. Together, we are truly making a difference for horses and people impacted by trauma.

Welcome to the inaugural edition of First Friday!

On the first Friday of each month, we will share ways YOU can make an impact through a generous donation.

Individual donations are the bread and butter of nonprofit work - they allow us to meet the needs of our community with confidence that we have the resources to do so. Not just today or tomorrow, but well into the future.

And friends, there are big needs in our community.

In order to meet those needs, Ruby's has committed to taking a LEAP in 2025 - we are expanding! If you missed it, be sure to check out our latest newsletter for the scoop (you can join the mailing list through our website).

As part of this growth, we will be helping 2 new horses in need. Horses that have been abused, neglected, homeless, and even at risk of slaughter. Horses just like our Ruby when we found her in 2017.

As you may have "herd" 😉, we've been up to some pretty big things here at Ruby's. Moving into a new facility, bringing in 2 new horses in need, ramping up our volunteer efforts, and implementing expanded wellness services for veterans, youth and families impacted by trauma... It's exciting times for sure.

And like always, none of this would be possible without our amazing community of supporters. Are you ready to join that community?

Congratulations to Ruby's Home for Good which accepted a grant from The Woodlands Medical Center Foundation Fund to underwrite hours for participants in their trauma focused Wellness with Horses program. This program uses the empathic qualities of rescue horses to help trauma survivors overcome the emotional injuries of a traumatic experience. Way to go, Ruby's Home for Good!

Sometimes the greatest peace is found in the simplest moments — birdsong in the trees, horses grazing softly nearby, and the quiet rhythm of nature all around. It’s a perfect reminder to slow down, breathe deep, and notice the beauty all around us.
