We operate a Mercedes Sprinter Van and all dogs are transported in Airline crates, in accordance with USDA guidelines. Our rates are structured as follows:

We want to give a HUGE SHOUTOUT OF GRATITUDE to the amazing team at Fischers Hardware Baytown❣️❣️❣️

We approached them recently with a request for support to help with the build out of our bus.

After meeting with them yesterday, they have so far already agreed to donate the insulation for the bus, as well as Floor Jacks that we use for bracing and securing the crates.
This is a donation of materials in excess of $800 and we could not be more grateful 😍😍😍

Thank you so very much for your kindness and support. 💖🐾💖🐾💖🐾

It truly is sad how some businesses have no qualms about screwing over customers.
Taking advantage of any customer is wrong, but it is especially despicable when that customer is a nonprofit organization.

Unfortunately this is exactly what happened to us today.
As we announced recently, we had purchased a bus to expand our ability to transport dogs to northern states.
The person we purchased the bus from had the rear AC unit worked on prior to our purchase and when we still had some issues right after taking possession of it, he sent us to the shop where he had the work done since it was warranty work.
That repair shop was J's Auto Repair Service in Cypress, Tx.

Our initial contact with them last week was pleasant and JJ, the owner, had a temporary fix done on the AC hose and told us to bring it back this week for a permanent fix.
The bus was dropped off yesterday and this afternoon we got word that it was ready to be picked up.
When we went to collect the vehicle, we were presented with a bill for over $900!!!
Keep in mind that these aren’t new hoses, they had the hoses refurbished. In addition, and probably most importantly, AT NO TIME were we informed that this work would not be covered under the warranty of the original AC work and we were NEVER given any kind of estimate of what the charges would be, giving us the opportunity to approve or deny the work.
As it turns out, we didn’t have $900+ available to pay this afternoon. JJ was obstinate, rude and completely unwilling to work with us or take responsibility for the fact that we were never informed about these charges ahead of time.
What we did have available this afternoon, was $702.99 and they ultimately agreed to take $702, money that we never should have been charged in the first place.

So, in conclusion, unless you’re ready to get taken for your last whole dollar you have available, and you’re willing to pay for work you haven’t been quoted properly, I suggest you stay away from this business. They obviously have no ethics and no conscience.

All I can say is, I hope they enjoy that $702 they screwed us over for, because we all know Karma is a B*!

We cannot say this often enough, but please

This poor girl is Miss Fancy Pants.
She was surrendered to us by a former breeder. She’s one of about 10 dogs we took in from this former breeder who told us she was overwhelmed due to health issues.
For the sake of the dogs, we will step up every time we can, because these dogs deserve to have a better life.
Every single dog we accepted from this former breeder has had a multitude of health issues, underweight, skin infections, allergies, gastrointestinal issues and SEVERELY rotten teeth.
Sweet Miss Fancy Pants is a prime example of why you should not support breeders. She has lived her life in a cage. She’s malnourished, has skin issues and at only 4 years old, she needs almost all of her teeth extracted because of terrible gum disease.
These dogs are not potty trained, not current on any vaccinations, not spayed and show obvious signs of lengthy neglect.

The cost of saving these dogs, getting them has been astronomical and Fancy is one of the most expensive. In addition to the very expensive dental surgery she needs, she has a heart murmur with arrhythmia and has lesions on her legs. The vet believes that one or more of these lesions could be a Mast Cell Tumor. We are having an aspiration biopsy done to be sure.

Please help us give Fancy the care she needs. The cost of her care is a huge burden for a small rescue like ours, but we firmly believe that she deserves every opportunity to be healthy and to have at least her future be one filled with love and care, after being neglected for so long.

The pictures show just a small glimpse of what she’s endured and the vet quote is merely a small portion of the care she will require. 😭😭😭

We need your help🙏🙏🙏

Please donate via either of these ways. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit, so all donations are tax deductible.

Heartbreaking News from the Road Today…

Today, we were scheduled to transport 18 precious dogs to the loving forever homes waiting for them. Unfortunately, the bus we bought needs some AC work before we can safely put it into service. In the meantime we have a loaner vehicle that allows us to do the transport with just a 24 hour delay.

This is exactly why getting our newly purchased shuttle bus gutted, customized, and fully equipped for safe, comfortable, and reliable animal transport is urgent and essential. These dogs—and so many more waiting for adoption—depend on us to get them safely to the families who are ready to give them the lives they deserve.

We can’t do this without YOU.
We urgently need:
• Donations to help cover customization costs
• Volunteers with skills in mechanics, electrical, or interior build-outs
• Sponsors willing to support this mission

Every dollar, every hour of your time, and every share of this post helps us get closer to hitting the road again—saving lives, one mile at a time.

Please donate, volunteer, or reach out if you can help.
These dogs are counting on us. Let’s get this bus road-ready together!

Meet Skylar – A brave little girl, ready to find her forever home!

Skylar is a 5-year-old miniature Labradoodle with a heart as soft as her curly coat.
Skylar was surrendered to us by a former breeder and has been blossoming in her foster home ever since.

In just a couple of month, Skylar has made remarkable strides. She’s discovering the joys of being a real dog—playing with toys, running in the grass, and curling up in a cozy bed. While the world is still a little scary sometimes, she’s learning to trust and has become especially fond of getting love (and treats!) from her humans.

Skylar is doing great with potty training as long as she stays on a schedule, and she sleeps peacefully in her crate at night. She’s becoming very confident on a leash but also loves to play fetch, so a home with a fenced backyard would be ideal for her while she continues to build confidence.

She absolutely adores other dogs and takes cues from her foster family’s pup, learning how to “dog” by watching and copying him. She would thrive in a forever home with a doggy buddy.
She’s gentle, submissive, and has been sweet with every person she’s met. She hasn’t met a cat yet, but her foster mom thinks she’d likely be fine—Skylar just wants to play and be loved.

Because she’s still a bit timid, Skylar would thrive in a calm home without small children—adults or teens would be perfect. Loud noises can scare her, so a quieter environment would help her continue to feel safe.

Skylar does have a recurring infection between her toes, likely due to allergies, but it’s manageable with regular topical treatments and a monthly allergy shot. She handles it all like a champ.

Skylar is looking for a special person or family—someone patient, gentle, and ready to help her continue her journey from survivor to beloved companion. If you have a calm home, a fenced yard, another pup to be Skylar’s buddy, and a heart full of love, Skylar may be the perfect match for you.

Skylar is currently being fostered in Texas but available to transport to approved adopter in the Midwest, Northeast and Canada.

Adoption fee includes vaccinations, Spay/Neuter, microchip, deworming, heartworm test.

As we are feverishly working to prepare the bus for it’s inaugural trip on Friday, we are thankful for the time we were able to use the van from Best Friends Animal Society, since our van is still in the shop for a few more weeks.

It was an eventful trip to New England, with some amazing dogs onboard many of whom have truly wonderful rescue stories.
Nothing fills our hearts with joy, like seeing these dogs go to incredible and loving homes 🐶❤️🐾

Thank you to all the caring adopters, who are willing to take a chance on a Texas dog and give them the lives they deserve❣️❣️❣️❣️

A big “Thank You” also to all the phenomenal fosters, without whom none of these dogs could have been saved, and whose compassionate care gave the dogs the opportunity they needed to find forever families. 💖💖💖💖💖
