Another adoption to celebrate! Miss East was the very first dog my aunt fostered. We saved her from Memphis Animal Shelter before my aunt moved down to Houston to help me with dog rescue. Miss East had a brother but he was euthanized before we got to him 😞 this is the sad reality of dog rescue, you can’t save them all. Over a month ago, Miss East made it to her forever home and her forever parents have been 100% committed to her since crossing her profile on Petfinder. It was a hard goodbye for my aunt but it opened a spot for us to save another, which is so important because the dogs in need just keep coming. Today we celebrate Miss East’s adoption. She was the leader of our girl gang of rescue dogs and soon too we know they will also get adopted. From us and our rescue pack, have the BEST life you sweet girl 🥰

This past weekend we saved our very first Meet Luka, the newest member of our pack! Luka was found as a stray on the streets of and ended up at Harris County Pets shelter, which has over 500 dogs. He was at high risk of being euthanized for space given he was a long stay resident and after meeting him while volunteering, I could not let that be his outcome. Luka is settling in well and is just the best boy - he is already trained and so chill. We are working to get him vetted and once that is done, he will be ready for adoption. We are 100% committed to finding this boy a forever home in the North far away from the heat and where cooler weather prevails. If you want to support our rescue efforts, see the link on our profile page for ways to donate. Welcome to our pack, Luka!

Otis wants the world to know he has found his forever home! A networker reached out with a wonderful application for Otis and after doing our due diligence, we quickly tagged him from Harris County Pets shelter, which has 500 dogs and moved him into our rescue home. He was labelled as heartworm positive but after going to the vet and retesting him, it was confirmed he did not have heartworms yahoo, which shortened his rescue journey by several months. Big black dogs are some of the hardest dogs to get adopted and this boy is just a friendly, gentle giant. He packed his bags and headed to Michigan several weeks ago. No more hot Texas summers for him. Happy life, Otis 🥰😘 you sure deserve it!

When a rescued horse, meets rescued dogs!! Meet Dandy, a dog friendly horse that was saved by one of our fosters who is fostering Honey and Dolly, who we saved from Harris County Pets shelter here in

Yesterday I took 2 of our rescue pups that we saved from Harris County Pets to the vet as they have had diarrhea since leaving the shelter and bad ear infections. Both girls are now on medication and hopefully on the road to recovery. We spent $422 at the vet to get them treated. If you would like to help us cover those costs, please see the link in our bio for ways to donate (Zelle - Madison2TheRescue Venmo: Mbrow118 and we also have a Go Fund Me). The more help we get, the more dogs we can help save! Happy Friday everyone

This sweet senior male pitty is at Harris County Pets and is in need of an adopter or foster to save his life. His kennel card did not have a name listed but his ID # is A655720. He seems house trained as he immediately did his business as soon as we got out to the yard and he also appears dog friendly. He was wagging his tail saying hi to his neighbors as we passed kennels on our way outside. He sits on command and will sing for treats. He had me giggling. If you live in Houston and want to help this boy by fostering or pledging, please comment! I’m hoping to help figure out a plan for him.
