• Must be an enclosed weatherproof shelter made specifically for that animal and protect that animal from exposure to the weather elements, such as cold, rain, ice, sleet, or snow.
• Must be accessible to the animal and a sufficient size for the pet to stand, turn, and lay down.
• Must be elevated off the ground enough to keep water, ice, snow, and sleet from entering the shelter.
• Must provide the animal with shavings or straw to provide insulation.
• Crates, carriers, under houses/ vehicles, or barrels are NOT acceptable shelters.

Cold weather can turn deadly fast!

Please report inadequate shelter or animals in critical condition to York County Field Enforcement at 803-628-3190. Be prepared with an address for the officer to respond to and a description of the welfare concern. Do not wait until the inclement weather arrives, as officers may be delayed in responding due to dangerous traveling conditions.

This is great news in the animal rescue world. Thank you President Trump for being an animal lover and wanting to protect our animals.

The Trump administration has launched a new federal strike force designed to fight animal cruelty nationwide. With dedicated attorneys assigned in each state, the goal is to provide a more coordinated and aggressive response to animal abuse cases. This initiative comes at a time when animal welfare advocates have called for stronger enforcement of laws against animal cruelty. The new team of federal prosecutors will focus on cases involving dog fighting, puppy mills, and other extreme forms of abuse, working closely with local and state law enforcement. By allocating resources to these serious offenses, the administration hopes to create a stronger deterrent against animal cruelty and ensure that more perpetrators are held accountable.

Person that took this video needs to be kicked in the ass for not calling the police and reporting it. If you’re not gonna do something, then don’t post about it. Those puppies are being abused and need to be taken out of that home immediately.. the video recorder person is just as much at fault for those babies being beaten for not doing anything!!
