🚨 WINTER STORM PET PRECAUTIONS 🚨
Let’s keep our fur babies safe during the cold snap that’s fixing to hit us!

🐶 Bring Pets Indoors
If it’s too cold for you, it’s too cold for them—especially seniors, puppies, and short-haired breeds.

💧 Check Water Bowls Often
Water can freeze fast. Refresh frequently and use insulated bowls if possible.

🔥 Provide Warm Shelter
If outdoor housing is unavoidable, make sure it’s dry, elevated, wind-blocked, and packed with straw or warm bedding (no blankets that can freeze).

🧂 Watch the Salt & Ice Melt
Road salt and ice melt can burn paws and be toxic if licked. Wipe paws after walks and use pet-safe products only.

🦴 Stock Up on Supplies
Food, meds, litter, puppy pads, and fresh water—assume you may not be able to get out.

🔌 Plan for Power Outages
Have extra blankets, heating alternatives (safe ones!), and keep pets in the warmest part of the house.

🚗 Never Leave Pets in Cold Vehicles
Cars lose heat quickly and can become dangerous just as fast as they heat up in summer.

🐾 Check on Outdoor & Community Animals
Look under cars before starting them, tap the hood, and keep an eye out for strays needing help.

❤️ When in Doubt—Bring Them In
Warm, fed, and loved is the goal.
