Let’s talk about something that I see ALL the time 👇👇👇👇👇👇
“The puppy doesn’t need to be papered”
“Doesn’t need to be registered”
“I don’t need the papers, can you go down?”
Bottom line, the questions is:
“Does registration affect the 💲 of a puppy?”
Short answer: NO — it shouldn’t.
Here’s why ⬇️
Registration (AKC, CKC, etc.) is simply paperwork that documents a puppy’s lineage. It tells you who the parents are and confirms the dog is purebred — but it does not determine quality, health, or temperament on its own.
What actually goes into the price of a well-bred puppy:
✔️ Health testing of parents
✔️ Quality breeding program & genetics
✔️ Prenatal and postnatal care
✔️ Vet care, vaccines, and deworming
✔️ Proper nutrition and socialization
✔️ Time, experience, and dedication from the breeder
These are the things that truly matter — not just a piece of paper.
Now, registration can come with breeding rights or restrictions, which is why you may see:
• Pet homes (limited registration)
• Full registration (breeding rights)
But that difference is about responsibility and purpose, not the puppy being “better” or “worse.”
At the end of the day, you’re not just paying for registration — you’re investing in:
💛 A healthy start
💛 A well-raised puppy
💛 A furry best friend
💛 Ongoing breeder support
Always choose a breeder who prioritizes health, ethics, and transparency over just paperwork.
