GDF LIFEBOAT A.K.A. “CAPTAIN”

2020 3/4 Connemara/TB Cross Bay Gelding

Captain is out of our Connemara/TB (Rock Point) mare GDF Roc The Boat aka Sailor, and by our stallion Connemara stallion Rattle ‘N Snap Laddie Boy. I love this particular cross so much that I did it five times. One of them hunts, and the other is four years old and coming along. We only let one get away - to an eventer in Maryland.

Captain has loads of talent, movement, and willingness. His potential is endless. We backed him this summer and he has been ridden out on trails. He is most enthusiastic and just needs a partner with whom to explore his options.

GDF BIRDIE

2021 3/4 Connemara/TB Cross Grey Filly

Birdie is a product of both our stallions. She is out of our fancy Matchmaker/TB mare GDF Miss Hannigan, and she is by our Laddie Boy.

This grey filly is special. She is a “people pony.” She trusts and she loves. She deserves someone to make her the superstar that she promises to be. Her video is the very first time she has ever been in the ring. As you can see, nothing phases her. She is just glad to be with you.

There is a photo of her dam, GDF Miss Hannigan, in the scrolling photo section on our website. Hannigan is the grey mare with our youngest daughter and her three children. Birdie is a carbon copy of her dam.

2020 Connemara/Percheron/TB Cross Bay Filly

Brooklyn is a connected and willing partner, suited for any discipline. She was backed this summer and trail-ridden for several weeks. She is happy and loves to go out in company and be with her people. She is 15’1” and big-bodied, and she is only 2 years old, so I expect she will grow. With more miles and training Brooklyn will excel at anything that comes her way.

GDF GLORY B

Glory B is big, willing, and has a lovely personality and temperament. She has spent this summer riding in the woods, crossing logs, and ditches, and encountering Virginia wildlife. She is brave and loves being part of a group of people, ponies, and puppies. I expect that she will love to foxhunt or event. We expect her to be 15’2” - 16’ and she is huge-bodied.

GDF Independence Day A.K.A. “DAISY”

2021 3/4 Connemara/TB Cross Bay Filly

Daisy is a darling girl and a farm favorite. She is the full sister to my favorite mount, GDF Lagniappe. (You can see me riding him in Glory B and Captain’s videos.)

Daisy was backed last year, but we had a short-breaking season last summer, so we brought her back again this year. She has been out on the trails and loves it. She just needs time and miles, and someone who wants a fun project.
