How to Participate in the 2026 AKC FIT DOG Spring Scurry – 4 Easy Steps!

Step 1: Register by purchasing your medal

Sign up with a $20 registration fee (which is completed through your purchase of the 3” Spring Scurry medal).
Step 2: Start moving (February 15 – June 30, 2026)

Walk or run 5K (3.1 miles) with your dog, all at once or split into multiple sessions.
Step 3: Choose your own route

Complete your 5K anywhere you and your dog enjoy being active—neighborhood, park, trail, or with your AKC FIT DOG club.
Step 4: Celebrate your accomplishment

*For this to count toward one of your organized walk/runs for an AKC Fit Dog title, you’ll want to use a fitness tracker app and show proof of distance/date/time to an AKC Fit Dog Evaluator (like us).
