Kiko’s K9 Academy is turning ONE! 🎉🐾

To celebrate, we’ll be hosting a Birthday Pack Walk on the evening of June 6th at CORP at 5:30 PM!

Spots are limited, so please DM me to reserve your spot. Attendance is free, and this pack walk will count toward AKC FIT DOG points!

I truly can’t believe KK9A is already one year old. I am endlessly grateful for all the love, support, and trust this community has shown me over the past year. I’m so thankful for every amazing client and every dog I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

Kiko’s K9 Academy would be nothing without you guys. The trust you place in me is something I never take lightly, and I genuinely cherish every dog and handler team that has crossed my path.

While I’ll unfortunately be off island for a couple of months, I’m already looking forward to coming back and picking up right where we left off. Thank you for making this first year so special. Here’s to many more! 🐾🎂

Very important announcement 🤍

It is with a lot of sadness that I announce Kiko’s K9 Academy will temporarily halt operations starting July 1st, as I have to leave island for a couple of months due to personal obligations.

That being said, I am currently taking a handful of clients for the month of June! If you are a current client, please reach out to schedule any remaining sessions included in your plan.

I plan to return around November/December. This is only a temporary closure. Kiko’s K9 Academy and everyone who has supported us truly means the world to me, and I cannot express how grateful I am for all of the love and support.

Also, this will most likely be the LAST group class session of the year, so if you’ve been wanting to sign up, I highly encourage you to do so now!

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. I found out about this move pretty abruptly myself and wanted to share the news with you all as soon as possible.

Recently, I had the privilege of testing and certifying 8 therapy dog teams for the Hawaii Red Cross through the 🐾

Back in January, I was contacted by an AMAZING Red Cross employee who had a vision of expanding the Red Cross Animal Visitation Program here on the island. She trusted me with that vision, and from there, I led two workshops focused on therapy dog education and training, followed by a final test day where we welcomed 8 new therapy dog teams to the island!

I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and so excited to see all the amazing things these teams will accomplish in our community ❤️

Day Train with Gus Gus 🐾

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Gus Gus since she was just a puppy! She’s an energetic 1-year-old Lab currently working toward becoming a certified therapy dog with her mom. 🐶✨

Gus Gus has come SUCH a long way in her training, and her mom has put in so much hard work and dedication into helping her succeed.

Gus Gus joins me for Day Training about once a month for maintenance training, confidence building, and to continue strengthening the skills that will help support the goal of therapy work. I’m so grateful to be a part of their training journey. 💛

On June 6th, KK9A officially celebrates one full year, and I honestly can’t put into words how grateful I am for every dog, handler, and family who has been part of this journey.

What started as a passion and an idea has grown into something so special because of all of you. Every class, private lesson, title earned, obstacle overcome, and little training win has meant so much to me. Getting to watch teams grow together and celebrate their progress has been one of the most rewarding parts of this past year.

To say thank you, I’m offering a limited-time virtual AKC title evaluation promo from now until June 6th!

Eligible virtual evaluations include:

Promo Pricing:
🐾 1 evaluation – $10

✨ SURPRISE, June 2026 AKC Class Registration is Now Open! 🐾

We’re excited to announce our upcoming 5-week class session beginning the weekend of May 30–31!
S.T.A.R. Puppy will be 6 weeks.

Class Schedule:
– AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy – Saturdays at 9:00 AM 🐶
– AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) – Saturdays at 10:00 AM 🎓
– AKC FIT DOG Level 1 – Saturdays at 11:00 AM 🐾
– AKC Community Canine & Urban CGC (CGCA & CGCU) – Sundays at 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM 🌆

We keep class sizes small to allow for personalized instruction, so spots are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Additional classes may be added depending on demand.

Once you register, you’ll receive confirmation of your spot or be notified within the week if you’ve been placed on the waitlist.

If you’ve been wanting to join a KK9A class, now is the time! This may be one of our last round of group classes for this year as we prepare for a big move. If you can’t make it this round, stay posted on my socials where I’ll be announcing future updates.

Hi everyone! I wanted to pop on here with a few quick updates for Kiko’s K9 Academy 🐾

- First, I am currently not accepting new private training clients at this time. I have had a huge influx of inquiries lately, and I am truly so grateful for all the love and support! To make sure my current clients continue getting the time, attention, and quality training they deserve, I need to pause new bookings for now. Current clients and anyone who already has a consultation scheduled will not be affected. I will announce when my books open back up again, and I am so excited to work with more of you in the future and appreciate your understanding!

- We will be closed and out of office from May 14–18. Messages sent during that time will be answered once we are back.

- As for group classes, I do not have the next round scheduled just yet, but they will be back! I love hosting them and cannot wait to get more classes going. Keep an eye on our social media for updates once dates are finalized.

Thank you all so much for your patience, kindness, and support during this busy season of life. Big things are happening, and I appreciate you all being along for the ride. 🤍

In the meantime, keep training and give your dogs some extra love from us!
