Jennifer Putt Photography Family lifestyle photography My name is Jennifer Putt owner of Jennifer Putt Photography and Beach House Handmade (on Etsy).

I am a self-taught photographer living in Camarillo, CA with my husband, our beautiful daughter, Emma and our sweet Pomeranian, Tallulah. We live in a beautiful city just outside of Los Angeles and are privileged to live near the ocean, farms and mountains. I grew up in New Jersey and spent many of my summers at the Jersey Shore on a small barrier island called Long Beach Island. Much of my photos

highlight little slices of everyday life. With my camera, I have been able to capture those little moments and the simple things that surround me. As a breast cancer survivor, I thrive on pursuing my passion each day (photography). I find beauty and intrigue in each photograph I take. Each photograph represents how I see the world and there is beauty everywhere we go. I love people, being outdoors, the beach, nature, animals. You will hopefully see this in the images that I create. My hope is that it evokes a special memory in someone or reminds them of the everyday beauty that surrounds all of us, but we are often to busy to really see. I am photographer because this is what brings me true joy. I look forward to sharing life's experiences and journeys with you all.

In light of the 9 recent, tragic deaths I have been searching my heart to think of what to do with all of the feelings that I am having about these folks who were mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, friends and most of all humans on this earth that left way too soon.

This is not about basketball ..... this is about life and telling people we love how much they mean to us WHILE THEY ARE HERE ON EARTH. So many times after someone dies, there is a HUGE outpouring of love for them, videos and photos posted, stories shared about the wonderful things the person did and the wonderful qualities they had, etc. Why do we wait until after they have died to let them know just what they meant to us?

I challenge everyone to start a movement ..... Celebrate YOUR 9. Think of 9 people in your life (heck choose 12 people - 1 per month; there is still time for January, or more) and show them genuine love, let them know how you truly feel about them by sending them a heartfelt letter or email, sharing those amazing stories you have with them, celebrate the good that is in this world, etc. Don't wait until after they leave this earth to share what they mean to you. In remembrance of all those lost this past Monday, I challenge you all to celebrate life and love right now (before they (or you) leave this world). Celebrate Your 9 ....

18 years ago on September 11, 2001 in NYC, I can still remember that the sky was a beautiful blue with puffy white clouds. As I walked my dog in Greenwich Village, the first plane flew over my head and I saw it crash into the WTC. My memories are visceral - the smells, sounds and sights - and easily bring me right back to that day.

The events from that day forward, have changed and shaped all of our lives in some way. For me, this day is a reminder to find beauty in each and every day. To live my life as fully as I can (and honor those who lost their lives that day and don't have the privilege of more time with friends and family). We are incredibly fortunate to live in America .... I hope that on this 18th anniversary of 9/11, we all look for a silver lining and beauty in our lives daily. Life is fleeting and beautiful and precious! In memory of all who lost their lives on that day .... I live life to the fullest.

Our Story

My name is Jenn Putt owner of Jennifer Putt Photography. I am a self-taught photographer living in Holly Springs, NC with my husband, our beautiful daughter, Emma, our sweet Pomeranian, Tallulah and our two kitties, Stella and Figgy. We moved to Holly Springs in 2018 from Southern California and love to bring local flavor to my family shoots. I grew up in New Jersey and spent many of my summers at the Jersey Shore on a small barrier island called Long Beach Island. Much of my photos highlight little slices of everyday life. With my camera, I have been able to capture those little moments and the simple things that surround me. Here are a couple fun facts about me:

· I have lived in VA, NJ, WV, NYC and Los Angeles before moving to NC

· I love watching football (college and pro) and am a Buffalo Bills fan despite the many years of losing seasons

· I could survive on chips and salsa alone!
