Late as usual but here’s a recap of Virginia Cat Festival 2025! Had a fantastic time with my mom and cousin, as well as with new friends and old ones I love dearly! Hope to see you next year and next year I’ll really up my photography game because I swore I had way more (and better quality) photos than I do. Oops. Alas, here’s some silly photos and some awesome costumes from the weekend. Posting just a few weeks late, as is my MO.

The rest of the photos and wrap up post is pending while I unpack and recoup from the weekend, but I had a blast dragging my family to Virginia Cat Festival once again this year! What a wonderful time seeing my amazing long distance rescue friends and meeting so many wonderful new people! Photos and merch haul coming soon once I get a full nights sleep and unpack. 😌

Brunswick County friends, mark your calendars!

Oktoberfest is only 2 weeks away! 🥨🍻Please join us on Saturday October 25th from 11 am - 5 pm to celebrate Oktoberfest. There will be great food, music, local vendors, and fun contests to partake in. We can't wait to see you there!

Bug and Blinker went to their purrfect forever homes over the weekend 💞💞 While they will be missed, goodbye is the goal and I couldn’t be happier to see these boys get the home they deserve. Not that it really meant we had a vacancy…. But since two went home I was able to offer a spot to this handsome gentleman, now named Squid. Squid spent clinic begging to be let out of the trap and taken into a foster home. So he’s here, and we’ll get a good feel on his purrsonality and prepare him for his forever home as well. 🥹

Handsome Blinker 🥰 when this guy first came to me his eyes were so swollen he could hardly see, fast forward to now and he’s had surgery to fix his entropion and got his stitches out! He is truly the most affectionate cat I’ve ever met (except for my Bestie).

Some vintage looking pics of Mr. Bugginton aka Buggaboo aka Buggerson aka (officially) Bug. This handsome boy will be available for adoption very soon and he is so deserving of a forever home. He has been an OUTSTANDING stepdad for all the foster kittens we’ve had here, he adores “his kids” and has such a wonderful personality. Selfishly, I wanted to keep him around because he is just so fabulous with raising the littles and teaching them to be proper cats, but he genuinely deserves a home of his own and a person who can spoil him. However, if his perfect person ever has any interest in fostering kittens he would probably love that and be an amazing step dad.
He started out life at a feral colony, and when I was assisting with TNR I asked the caretaker if I could assess him for a few days and see if he was friendly because he just seemed like he would be, but the caretaker was allergic to cats and didn’t interact at all past feeding them. Immediately he was the chillest, most affectionate boy. Then we acquired kittens and he took to them instantly. You will never meet a cooler cat than Bug, I can promise you that.
