Do you love animals? Want to help us save lives? We are desperately looking for a Fundraising Coordinator! This is a volunteer position as is our whole organization. If we can’t raise funds to keep this organization going, we will unfortunately have to discontinue all of our programs for the community. We will be leaving our current location in November due to lack of funding and inability to raise enough funds for rent. This means we will no longer be able to rescue kittens. The state of the organization is in limbo right now. So if there are some people who want to help with fundraising please send us an email at [email protected]
and let us know you can help, please include your experience with fundraising and the hours you are willing to commit to the organization every month. **You do not have to be from Akwesasne to be involved with our organization.

We have sent out emails to people for the registration of the spay and neuter clinic being held 9/27.
Check your emails please and provide the information requested. Once you give us the requested information we will send you the instructions and an e-consent form to sign. We only have 35 spots available. We received 3x this many registrants in only 2 hours. We will work down the list as we can and we are tentatively having another clinic in a month.
We will keep your information on hand and work down that list for the next clinic if you still need surgery for your cat. As mentioned previously there is very high demand for these services and are doing our best to help the community.

A huge shout “meowt” to Ruby’s Grab n Go in Ft Covington and their patrons! In August Ruby’s had a round up for us and cash jar and raised $165 for us! We appreciate this so much!

✔️We have turned off the Rez Cat spay/neuter sign up form due to the high volume of registrants.
🐈‍⬛We will open it back up once we determine if there are any spots left.
⏰It filled in 1 hour and we know there is a high need for low cost spay and neuter.
🐾We are doing our best to bring this much needed service to Akwesasne members. Niawen!

Just a little good news! We have finally secured a day for cat spay and neuter clinic. Saturday September 27 for akwesasne members. We have about 30 spots available. Cost will be $100 per cat vaccines included, flea/tick medicine will be extra. We are so happy to start a new partnership with Massena Humane Society. We are working together diligently to get affordable spay and neuter services to the communities we serve. We are looking for a sponsor or two to reduce the cost for the surgery to cat owners. It takes collaborative efforts for us to help the overpopulation of cats and we are so happy to be working alongside massena humane society.

Lotus (F), Dahlia (F), Lily(F) and Thorne (M)
🐾They are settling in and had their intake exams and treatments on Saturday. Thorne already has a potential adopter but the 3 girls will be ready for adoption in a couple weeks!
💉We are happy to let potential adopters know that microchipping is now included in the adoption fee!
🗓️We will also be organizing a microchipping clinic soon for those who want to microchip their pets.

We need small cardboard boxes desperately! We use them for litter boxes for our kittens and we go through a lot of them! They can be dropped off at our door anytime at 449 Frogtown Rd! Thank you!
