💗February is a big month for our feline friends💗
Our goal is to help stabilize the feral cat overpopulation and improve their quality of life. This TNR (trap, neuter, release) program involves humanely trapping stray and feral cats, spaying or neutering them, vaccinating and testing them, notching their ear for identification, and then returning them to their original locations.

With your support, we can make a real impact!

Our February program will begin soon😻 Just a friendly reminder to put collars on any of your pet cats. Cats with collars will be released and not included in the program. Additionally, we are very aware there is a cat overpopulation problem in Hobart, that is what this program is designed to help with. If you have an abundance of cats in your area and would like to be on the list of areas to be trapped, please fill out a trapping form with the City ACO giving permission to trap. Trapping will NOT be done on properties that do not have the form completed.

Feeding outside cats or have community cats hanging around your neighborhood? YOU can help prevent more homeless cats.
Here's how...
Did you know that Oklahoma Humane Society's Spay/Neuter Clinic has 15 walk-in spots a day, Monday through Friday, for feral/community cats?
Spots are first come, first serve, so get there early! Check in is 7:30-8:30am, and pick up is 4-5pm. The cost is only $40 and includes surgery, rabies vaccination, and a mandatory ear-tip. Cats MUST come in a secure carrier or trap.
The clinic is located at 4301 Will Rogers Pkwy, Oklahoma City.

This is how we do it! We completed round ✌🏼of our TNR Program last weekend forever impacting the lives of 15 cats. This makes our total impact 29 cats including 13 males and 16 females. We couldn’t continue our mission to change the lives for our overpopulation of feral cats in Hobart without your generous donations + our amazing volunteer team and city ACO!

As we begin our trapping for the November TNR run, we want to share some program information with the public as we are asked many of the same questions!

🌟Trapping will ONLY take place on properties that have given permission. Trapping forms can be filled out with the ACO giving permission to trap on your property. (580)726-2424
*Filling out the form does not mean we will immediately begin trapping on your property, it just gives us the permission to do so as funds become available.

🌟Trapping will only be done by the City ACO and TNR representatives. Public trapping will NOT be included in this program. If you trap a cat on your property, do not bring it to the shelter expecting it to be added to the program.

🌟At this time, trapping is being completed in “hot spots”. We have several cat colonies with 30+ cats in one area, however we are still trapping on properties that have filled out the trapping permission form.

🌟This program is a trap, neuter, release prografor stray/feral cats, not personal pets. We will not accept any personal pets in this program.

🌟This program is solely based on your generous donations at this time as we await grant opportunities. The number of cats we are able to do each month will be entirely based on the funds available from donations. Donations can be made directly at Ark Vet clinic, City Hall, or we have digital options through Venmo and PayPal.

🌟Additional ways to help: 1’x1’x3’ animal traps, clorox wipes, 13 gal trash bags and cat litter can be donated at the shelter!

‼️This program is made available from the hard work and dedication of volunteers, Dr. Kilhoffer, and our City ACO. It is never acceptable to demand, bully, or message/approach any of these individuals in a negative manner because you have a cat problem in your area. We are very aware there is a cat overpopulation in Hobart and are working very hard to make a difference.

🐈‍⬛Today is National Black Cat Day🐈‍⬛
As Halloween approaches, please be kind to the many stray/feral black cats of our community.

🙀Did you know, most black cats are male? Males only need one X chromosome to be black, while females need to inherit a black gene in both X chromosomes to be pure black.

This is our LAST WEEK for our Cat Butts for Buck$ Fundraiser! Send someone some great yard decor while supporting the health of feral/stray cats, like these beautiful black cats!

Been thinking about “butting” someone’s yard or business? Our Cat Butt fundraiser will run until Oct 31st, which means there are 10 days left to secretly decorate someone’s yard while supporting our TNR Program! To place butts at someone’s address, you can message us on here or text Sarah at (580)530-0082. We now have an account at Ark Vet clinic, so checks can additionally be made to them.
