Nala’s Boundary Breakthroughs & Recall Mastery 🌟🐕

In the latest training session, Nala learned to respect a designated area in the yard by setting a manual perimeter with her e-collar, giving her clear boundaries to stay within. We then worked on long-distance recalls from tricky angles, reinforcing her responsiveness even when the environment is less than perfect. To really challenge her focus, a distraction dog was introduced, testing her ability to respond reliably amidst excitement and movement.

The session wrapped up with some stylish heeling exercises, transitioning smoothly into off-leash heeling to boost her confidence and responsiveness without the leash. Nala showed great progress in maintaining control and focus, proving how consistent practice enhances her obedience and reliability.

We are proud of Nala’s dedication and growth—she’s well on her way to being a confident, well-behaved pup! 🐶🎉

Juneau’s Training Triumphs: Mastering Long Stays & Distractions 🐾✨

In our recent training session, Juneau made impressive progress working outdoors on long stays and long-distance recalls, reinforced with her trusty long leash for added control and confidence 🦮. To build her focus and reliability, we introduced a distraction dog into the mix. Juneau held her stay as our distraction dog calmly walked past, demonstrating her ability to stay composed amidst movement and excitement.

Indoor training also saw great strides as Juneau practiced holding her place while a guest and the distraction dog entered the house. These exercises are vital for real-world situations, helping her stay calm and attentive regardless of distractions.🐕🎉

Twix & Bama’s Training Session: Tag-Team Progress! 🐾✨

We had a fantastic training session with Twix and Bama, giving equal attention to both pups. The focus was on refining their understanding of commands through labeling and verbal cues. It was a bit of a mixed bag—sometimes we used clear labels for commands, and other times we went verbal depending on their positioning and focus. This approach helps them adapt to real-life scenarios where commands can vary.

After working indoors, we headed outside to enhance their leash manners. We practiced our intro to leash walking with the circle drill, mastering the start, stop, and sit commands. We also introduced a slow, focused granny walk to build patience and focus on leash.

Progress is steady, and both pups are showing great enthusiasm for learning! 🐶💙

Dakota had an exciting first public training session at Home Depot, where he practiced heeling and following commands amidst the hustle and bustle of the store. We focused on maintaining focus and good behavior while navigating the aisles, even around various shoppers.

This outing also provided valuable socialization, as Dakota interacted with Halloween decor and animatronics, helping him become comfortable around new sights and sounds. Watching him grow more confident in different environments is truly rewarding!
