Cat’s Cradle Rescue is an all volunteer non-profit rescue group formed to promote the well-being and adoptability of local Oregon cats. We provide loving foster homes where abandoned and shelter felines can socialize in a family environment while receiving medical care, spay and neuter surgery with the goal of being adopted into qualified caring homes.

1)Why Foster Care? Does your new kitty like children? Does she play with dogs or find other felines too uncomfortable to be around? Does he have consistent litter-box manners? Does he want to cuddle or perhaps his comfort zone is to be more independent. Many life-factors influence cat behavior and while genetics plays a role, we know that human touch, kindness, nurturing and consistency of care are non-negotiable requirements. We provide all of this.

2) Helping the Community

Traditional shelters in our area do not accept owned pets. We help cats stay in their current homes until adoption and offer free online postings and guidance. We do not have space in our foster homes for every cat and accept cats only when a home is available.

✨ Seeking Short-Term Fosters & Help for Two Friendly Cats ✨

UPDATE 15 SEPTEMBER: Ashes is scheduled for his neuter this Wednesday the 17th and both cats will be fully vaccinated. We are still looking for a temporary home for them.

Cat’s Cradle Rescue is looking for a short-term foster home for two sweet cats, Miracles and Ashes, while their owner undergoes leukemia treatment and hospitalization for 3–4 weeks.

🐾 About the Cats

Miracles – A neutered, white cat who is affectionate, talkative, and loves lap time and play. He warms up quickly to new people.

Ashes – A lovable tabby Maine C**n mix who enjoys attention, pets, and play. He is not yet neutered and can be a bit needy, but he is also very friendly and social.

Both boys are healthy but have not yet received vaccinations.

💜 Their person, Charity, loves them dearly but needs help during this difficult time so she can focus on her health.

📌 How You Can Help

Provide a safe, loving foster home for Miracles and Ashes (short-term).

Donate toward Ashes’ neuter and both cats’ vaccines to help prepare them for fostering and adoption readiness.

Ashes is not currently neutered. He’s a tabby, Maine C**n mix and also very lovable. He likes attention and can sometimes be needy with wanting pets and loving. Ashes is also playful and not scared around new people.

Ember and Dweedle are brother and sister. Both are super friendly and social. Ember is much bigger than her brother as you can see in their together photo. Dweedle is a little petite boy who is trying to gain enough weight to be neutered. (He is getting there) They are just about 9 weeks old. We would love to see them be adopted together, but if not they would benefit being adopted into a home who has a young feline buddy.
Our foster kitties are spayed, neutered, microchipped, tested for Leukemia/FIV, wormed and flea treated and current on vaccines.

RESOLVED! THANK YOU FOR SHARING. THIS SITUATION HAS BEEN RESOLVED THANKS TO OUR COMMUNITY CONCERN!

to a domestic violence situation and sudden relocation, we are looking for a safe temporary home for our two beloved cats, Fizz (1 yr, tabby) and Spookie (10 months, black medium-hair).

Both boys are neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and very sweet, loving companions. They just need a quiet room and some care for about a month while we get back on our feet.

We will provide all their supplies—food, litter, litter boxes, and toys. A small stipend or payment is also possible if needed. Being able to visit them occasionally would mean so much, but the most important thing is knowing they are safe and cared for.

If you have space in your home to foster them short-term, please reach out. You would be helping not just two cats, but the humans who love them deeply. ❤️

Mommy cat gave birth to two kittens in a chimney of all places. By a stroke of luck they were discovered and brought, at 5 days old, to one of our experienced caregivers for neonates. Fast forward 4 weeks and Chimney and Ash are loving life. They are future Cat's Cradle Rescue "works in progress" and will be up for adoption in a month or so. Silly kittens find fun in odd places!
