Highland Pet Resort is different than the rest, and that's why we're the best.

We are not an "open -room" facility where dozens of dogs roam around all at once together. Why? Because we care about your dog's safety. It's a huge risk. Here at HPR dog fights are nearly non-existent. It's all about reading each dog's body language and stopping it before it even has a chance to happen.

How is that possible? By doing one-on-one playgroups (or groups with 2-4 dogs depending on the situation). We match up the personalities of the dogs perfectly so no one gets overwhelmed or upset. We think it's the best way, and you can't argue with the statistics. Your dogs safety is our top priority!
(And if your dog doesn't like to play with others that's ok too! All are welcome here 😊)

IMPORTANT INFO - Please Read!

(but first - this is our failed photo shoot haha! These four dogs have been friends for many years at the pet resort, so we thought it would be cute to try to get them to pose together for a photo. None of them wanted to cooperate what so ever of course lol. The only one who smiled for the camera was mr. Misha who is the black cavalier king charles. I hope you enjoy these awful photos 😅)

**Price Increase Announcement**
Unfortunately we have to raise our rates again, but for now we are only increasing our dog boarding rates. (Doggie daycare and cat boarding/small animal boarding will remain the same.)
As of September 15th, 2025 dog boarding rates will increase by $5.00. We are also implementing a "seasonal/summer rate" system, which means that next summer all boardings (including cats) will be an additional $5.00 from June 26th - Sept 7th, 2026.
Any reservations that are already booked or booked prior to Sept 15th will be grandfathered in to the old rate (not including the new seasonal rates for summer) . So call us now to make your reservations before the rates go up!

There's a reason why we're the best in the Hudson Valley, it's because we care!

There's a reason why our building is designed the way it is and why our routine is done the way it is. - it seems to make our dogs happy!
We have about a 90-95% success rate in making our dogs happy. As you can hear there's one dog barking lol can't make everyone happy unfortunately. But I wanted to show everyone how quiet it typically is around here. (I picked random rooms to peek in on the dogs to show they are actually in there haha.) ... So when we give you an update at pick up that your dog seemed stressed and barked a lot while they boarded, you can believe that we're not telling you that "just because," it's because we want ALL of them to be happy! 😊
