If you feel the need to help any amount is appreciated. We love you all!
We've had SO MANY people reach out asking how they can help in the wake of the tornado attacking our home. A sweet friend of ours has started a go fund me campaign to help us recoup the gap between the worth of the barn vs what insurance is covering.
If you feel led to give, this is one way you can do so.
We're in high spirits, but it is difficult not having a home. Some of this will be used for living expenses, roll-off dumpster to begin clean up, and a host of other things I'm sure. Our heads are still kind of spinning but any amount of funds will help.
We have not decided yet if we will rebuild the barn or pay off debt as we just took out a large second mortgage to pay for the medical bills and surgeries and other disasters that have befallen us. This loss is pretty rough because for years we had a desire to update our kitchen, which was falling apart, so we got to a place of strong financial stability and finally pulled the trigger on brand new cabinets, flooring in the whole home, carpet and paint in the basement room (just completed last Thursday), and it took us a year to get it all how we wanted it. We did a ton of the work ourselves to save money.
It's all gone.
Shortly after we purchased the cabinets my income was cut in half because the company I worked for went under, then we suffered some pretty horrifying medical issues a year ago, followed by my appendix bursting and shoulder requiring surgery and so much more... it just hasn't let up at all.
Now a tornado has destroyed a large portion of our home, and it is currently unlivable.
We are humbled by this new event that comes on the heals of so many disasters that have plagued us over the last several years.
Prayers are appreciated as well, as we completely understand that money is tight for a lot of people right now. Please pray that the insurance process goes smoothly and that the trouble and disasters that pursue us would stop and we could just have a few years of peace without trouble.
Thank you in advance, we are overwhelmed by the response of our community and friends and can't adequately thank you all!
