Time has absolutely flown by with this litter. It’s hard to believe that in just one more week the babies will be heading in for their crops and then getting ready to head off to their new homes shortly after. I’m a few days behind on this update thanks to all the holiday craziness, but the puppies are now officially 6 weeks old and growing like weeds. They’ve slowed down just a little now that the all you can eat milk bar isn’t open 24/7 anymore, but they are still full of personality and energy.
We’ve continued exposing the puppies to all kinds of new sounds, sights, textures, and experiences, and everyone has been handling the changes wonderfully. They are confidently using the doggy door now, crate training has officially started, and this week we’ll begin doing more individual one on one time with each puppy.

Aries (red collar) continues to be the little firecracker of the litter. She is constantly on the move until she finally crashes wherever she happens to land. One minute she’s giving endless kisses and the next she’s turning into a tiny velociraptor looking for trouble. She’s probably still the most outgoing puppy overall, although honestly the whole litter is pretty close in confidence. Aries is definitely the kind of girl that jumps in first and figures things out as she goes. She currently weighs 13lb 5oz.

Icarus (orange collar) has started showing more of his sweet and affectionate side lately, though he still absolutely loves a good wrestling match. Him and Aries have become quite the team when it comes to sneaking behind me and grabbing onto my hair or shirt whenever they get the chance. He tends to take a moment to observe new things before fully committing, but once he decides he’s in, he dives in completely. He is currently 13lb 15oz.

Pyra (yellow collar) is still the sweetheart of the litter, but over the last several days she has definitely started showing a little more spice and confidence. She’s really blossomed lately and has been showing some very nice toy and chase drive. There are even moments now where she’s outplaying Aries during their puppy chaos sessions. She has become much more playful and animated as she’s matured over the last couple weeks. Pyra currently weighs 14lb 12oz.

The pups are five weeks old today and their little personalities are getting big! This week they started eating mush, which they’ve taken to pretty well. We’ve been exposing them daily to all kinds of new sounds both in person and through videos, and they’ve gotten more toys, including some that make noise. They’re getting more active and curious every day. This coming week we’ll be expanding their area, getting them outside in the run, and starting to introduce the doggy door. Weights this week: Red a little over 11 lbs, Orange just shy of 12 lbs, and Yellow a little over 12.5 lbs.

Aries (Red Girl) is my little firecracker girl with endless energy. She’s always the last one to get tired and nap, chasing balls and playing with toys nonstop. She loves her food, loves people, and gives the best kisses. She’s such a happy, outgoing girl and it’s so fun watching her zoom around.

Icarus (Orange Boy) is our rough-and-tumble boy who’s always ready to wrestle and play. He’s the most possessive over his toys and can be a little bit of a bully when he gets going, but he’s full of personality and really enjoying all the new noisy toys this week.

Pyra (Yellow Girl) is my sweet girl and the biggest cuddler of the bunch. She’d rather be getting cuddles while her siblings fight over the toys. She loves people and likes to sit back and observe everything. That’s my little thinker.

The puppies are now four weeks old and growing so fast. Litter training is coming along well, and they have started experiencing everyday sounds like doors opening and closing, the vacuum, knocking, clapping, and even a bit of metal rattling. They have also been exploring different surfaces and have decided that mom’s bed is the best spot. Today they are starting mush, which feels like a big milestone.
Aries (Red girl) is my sweet and spicy one. She absolutely loves people, gives endless kisses, and always wants to help with cleaning.
Icarus (Orange boy) is bold, feisty, and very independent. He is already quite the escape artist. I ended up adding a third panel halfway through the week after finding both him and Aries out of their area, just hanging out with mom.
Pyra (Yellow girl) is sweet, steady, and a little old soul, but do not let that fool you. She still has her playful spark and knows how to turn up the fun, keeping right in step with her siblings when things get lively.

The weeks are flying by! Our adorable neonatal stage has come and gone, and now these little ones are getting mobile. Their personalities are really starting to shine!
Aries (red girl) is as sweet as can be, but she’s still got that strong opinionated streak. We love her sass.
Icarus (orange boy) is outgoing, feisty, and goofy all in one chunky, cuddly package; plus, quite the little escape artist!
Pyra (yellow girl) is channeling her mama’s personality, loving to roll onto her back and play with her siblings.
All three have shown real interest in the toys they’ve been given. Now we just have to keep mom from stealing them all out of the whelping box! 😂
Watching them grow and tumble around has been the best part of our days. Can’t wait to see what new adventures (and mischief!) next week brings!

The triplets are doing amazing and have already more than doubled their birth weight, and Mama Recon is taking such good care of them, keeping them full and content. It is hard to believe they are already one week old, as this week has gone by so quickly. I am truly grateful for all of my friends and fellow Beauceron people who have reached out to check on Recon and the babies, and on me as well, because it really does mean so much. Recon and I are starting to find our rhythm and settling into a routine as we care for these precious little ones.

We are happy to announce the arrival of our Recon x Haku puppies! After some unexpected labor complications, we had to do an emergency C-section. Sadly, four of the little ones didn’t make it. We’re heartbroken over their loss, but so incredibly grateful that Recon is safe, resting comfortably, and recovering well. Most importantly, her three surviving puppies are healthy, strong, and thriving!
