A crocodilian bouquet of baby Morelet's Crocodiles. Every time we clean the hatchlings enclosure we inspect the group to make sure they are all healthy. When picked up, healthy hatchling crocodilians will wiggle, try to bite, and use their distress call to attract their parents. Their strength is remarkable for how tiny they are. These are all from one clutch of eggs, look at how variable this species is!

If you keep up with our page, you may be familiar on this! This picture was taken in July during egg collection and you can clearly see what we call the
"band". During egg collection, this is a good thing! This means the egg is fertile and the gator is alive! As the embryo grows, so does the band. Eventually the band should make the entire egg white.
Fast forward to August, hatching season! Now when we see the band, this is bad news. This means the gator did not grow beyond this point and the egg is no longer viable
