Didn’t get what you wanted for Christmas? Neither did Fetch. He was hoping for a home of his own, with endless tennis balls and endless belly rubs. He is a silly little guy with a quirk or two. He came from a hoarding situation and has been learning how to just be a pet. Fetch is a happy and playful guy who is crate trained and housebroken. Elf was on the transport train for this past weekend. He is a lively young boy and loves kids. Elf is around 3-4 months old and friendly to all. He came here with hopes of landing in his forever family. Elf is taking applications. See our website.

Penelope came to us on transport Saturday. We knew she had a broken pelvis and a broken leg. We took her anyway, hoping to give her a chance, knowing she would take time and funds to help. She went to the vet yesterday. What we didn’t know was her pelvis is shattered. Her leg not in a cast is not in good shape. Her casted leg has two breaks and an infection. We have no idea what this girl endured, only that the breaks did not happen at the same time. We don’t cherry pick who we help. We don’t always know what we are getting into but we help where we can. Christmas is the season of giving and we hope you will find it in your hearts to donate where you can. Even if it’s the change in your pocket or the bottom of your purse. That’s right! No mistletoe needed. Sweet Sadie came in Saturday with her very kissable face. Right now she’s a little shy of people but she loves to play with other dogs. She absolutely brightens up when there’s another dog to play with. She will be ready for her forever home after the holidays. Sadie’s is around 9-10 weeks old.

Momma Noelle’s puppies. Around 5-6 weeks old. They will be divided and moved to fosters after the holiday. What a great Christmas gift for this family, to be safe, warm, loved and cared for. They will be looking for their forever in the near future.

Momma Noelle and her 9 puppies arrived Saturday from rural Missouri. They were living on the back porch of their owners home and they unfortunately were not willing to bring them indoors. With the temperatures dropping, a wonderful woman, who couldn't leave babies out in the weather, took them in to find rescue.
Mom is the sweetest girl but she is tired, the first couple of days her f***s was mostly pea gravel She is thin but eats great and never turns down a treat.
Fast forward to Saturday. Momma Noelle weighs in at 57 lbs. She definitely eats well, but nine hungry babies take a toll. She has been doing great. Loved the bath once the scrubbing began. She has been taking good care of her puppies and has been loving her peaceful breaks from taking care of them. Momma Noelle will be relieved when her duty is done and grateful for a loving and safe place of her own.

Yesterday was a busy day for us. Out pantry was open from 10-12. Our store was open from 10-2. We had some special deliveries from Santa. Please welcome all our newbies. Stay tuned for their glamour shots 😉
