🌈Double rainbow this evening sure did light up the pastures! 🌈 All this rain filling up the ponds around here, and of course flooding the roads! We needed rain, but jeeze! 🫣

🌻 Even though we didn’t welcome new kids to the farm this season…I couldn’t say no to two beautiful girls needing a home before animal control took them in from their owner! And they came with registration papers! 🌻 After their time in quarantine, now they are getting accustomed to the herd between fencing and will join all their new friends soon! 💕

🙄 These looks say it all! We put our buck in with a few select girls beginning of June…and babies should be on the ground, but here we are! 🤦‍♀️ Either they were not completely in heat or our buck, Lincoln, did not get his job done! Lincoln’s first breeding season, so we will plan to try again…otherwise we may be in the market for a new buck soon! 🤷‍♀️

💥Things happen for a reason right, and given we had a few unexpected life changes recently, maybe it was just not the right timing! 🤔

🤞For spring kids! 🙏

✨Nothing like feeding with this time change and hot temps! Waiting for it to cool off before dark to feed makes for horrible photos and baby checks too. Lol

🌻Hoping these girls are bred, almost positive on at least 4 of them. We will know for sure in the next few weeks when udders start to form. I am thinking our powerhouse genetics doe Olivia is already forming an udder as she wasn’t bred last season. 👀 possible baby udder going! 🤞

Not the best photos but hoping for some silver kids, moonspots, blue eyes, wattles, and all are from registered stock! 🙌 I can hardly wait for babies on the ground again! 🥰

🌻We have these six does available. 5 are semi-friendly (will come to feed and treats), and 1 that is always scratching her head on you. 5 of them were born March 2023, and the other is about 3 years old (I’d have to look at records to be sure). Great starter herd or pasture grazers. Open to considerations.🌻

Several photos of same goats, six total.

lol, with the goats too. You just get used to their calls and sounds. 🐐

🌻We have bred a very select few of our girls to our Flat Rocks silver buck and hopefully expecting lots of unique beautiful kids come November. Our does come from excellent genetic and milk lineage so fingers crossed we have some lookers and powerhouses next kidding season!🌻

If you’re aware the livestock market (even horses, pigs, and cattle) just is not what it used to be so our selection on breeders this season was to breed for us, and what we wanted to add back to our herd. So there may be select few available come end of the year but I really hope the market turns over sooner than later, it always seems to ebb and flow. Seeing so many “herd reductions and dispersals” from well known farms is difficult as for many farming and showing livestock is a way of life. Hang in there y’all! 🥰

*The younger photos are out of date as we only breed when does are a year or older and of correct stature and weight.* Will update photos as soon as we get a chance.

🌻 It is a literal swamp here, again! My poor guardians and their paws, hope for drying out soon and to get these pastures mowed. By the time you can mow, the pastures will be dead from summer heat lol. 🌻

My parents cows were rather lovey tonight wanting scratches and treats! Check out Kickin K Ranch if you’re looking for your next show Hereford! 🥰

🌻Feeding before the storms….yet again! The grass is out of control here, but too wet to mow any of the pastures. The poor goats are starting to get lost out there in it lol. And these mosquitos!!😅🌻
