A little change is in the works! Most know by now that I (Libby) have a job out of state during the week. This means much of the regular weekly walks and sittings are now in the hands of Heather, Alexis, and Rebecca. With dog training being handled by Rebecca. I hand picked these people because I have trusted them with my own furry family members over the years! I know this is a big change for everyone and I won’t be a stranger! You’ll still see me on the weekends occasionally! So don’t be afraid to keep booking! I hope you all grow to love Heather, Alexis, and Rebecca as much as you’ve embraced me into your hearts and homes to care for your furry family members!

With love,
Libby

If everyone followed this rule, I’d probably be out of a job.

Most dog training problems don’t start because the dog doesn’t know the command. They start because the dog has learned that the command is optional.

Every time we ask our dog to do something and then allow them to ignore us, we’re teaching them a lesson. Not about obedience, but about us.

We’re teaching them that our words are suggestions. That follow-through is optional. That compliance is negotiable.

The problem isn’t that your dog blew you off once. The problem is that every successful refusal makes the next one easier.

Don’t call your dog if you have no way to make sure they come. Don’t tell them “place” if you’re willing to let them ignore it. Don’t give commands you aren’t prepared to back up.

Because training isn’t built on the commands you give. It’s built on the credibility behind them.

Your dog doesn’t need you to repeat yourself louder. They need to learn that your words have value. And words only have value when they’re consistently backed by action.
