And many of our members placed with honors, Including Courtney Hall and Jed 3rd place and Lindsey and Sylvi Crosby first place for Tricks and Nadia with Echo in her age group. The HKC Fit Dog Club struck again today at the C**n dog day 5K annual race. Our own Courtney and Jed finish 3rd, wow!
But the main message is that the Fit Dog Club is for everyone, even those who are relearning to walk (like Christine) and those who just made the decision that walking with a dog was even better than sliced bread! Come join Lindsey every (check events) Friday evenings at 6:30 at the Park of Flat Rock for a great Pack Walk.

Our 2026 Fall Class session starts September 2-3, Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Conformation Handling class are held on Thursday nights at 6:30pm. Learn to show your dog in the breed ring, socialize your puppy and accustom your dog to the dog show environment. This is a walk in class and preregistration is not required, but suggested. Cost per class: Members: $3, non-members $5. For more information contact Corliss at [email protected]

Our Intro to Dog Sports classes introduce your dog to basic Obedience, Rally, Agility, Scentwork and Tricks! Earn your CGC and Novice Tricks titles! Two separate classes are offered on Wednesday night or Thursday night, both at 7:30.

On Wednesday nights we'll be offering an 8 week Novice/Intermediate Rally class at 7:30 and an 8 week Advanced/Excellent/Master Rally class at 6:30 These classes are geared towards competition in Rally, and as such you must have previously taken our Intro to Dog Sports class, earned your CGC or have otherwise trained your dog in basic obedience.

Looking for more in obedience from your dog? On Thursdays we'll be offering a Beginner Novice/Novice obedience class at 7:30. The class will cover all basic obedience exercises for each level and prepare you to show your dog to BN & CD obedience titles. Your and your dog should have completed our Intro to Dog Sports class, earned your CGC or have otherwise trained your dog in basic obedience. We also offer a Graduate Novice/Open obedience class at 6:30 for those who have completed Novice level classes and are looking forward to the next level of competitive training in Graduate Novice and Open.

On Thursday nights, we'll be offering an Advanced Scentwork class at 7:30. This class is for those who have completed Novice level training and wish to continue toward higher levels.

OMG Again! The HKC Fit Dog Club had a record attendance last Friday. Coach Lindsey gathered everyone and had a fun walk at the Park at East Flat Rock!!! Check our events and FB page for the next walk! Congratulations to Lindsey and Welcome all!
